False awakening abduction dream leads to physical side effects?

I had a false awakening that I woke up strapped to a surgical table. The doctor (looked humanoid) came and was about to give me a shot. I fought him off, and with my hand, grabbed the needle and tried to push it away. He got me, anyways, and as he injected me, I felt the effects of it immediately.

It felt like I was being injected with a very strong muscle relaxer and something to partially paralyze you. Yes, in my actual dream, I was feeling these physical feelings, as if my actual dream body was having a reaction to whatever was in this stuff. I started feeling heavy, and like a pile of bricks. I wasn't paralyzed and I could move, but it took all my willpower to move. There was so much resistance that moving my arm felt like pulling a 200 pound weight.

I laid still as experiments were done on me, and then, naturally, I woke up safe and sound.

Now, as someone who's had SP dozens of times, I know what it's like to feel completely helpless, but I've never had this 'I feel like I weigh as much as an elephant' feeling before, until this dream, really.

Well, about two days ago, I woke up (for real :P) and there it was. I could move, but I felt so heavy, and it was exactly that same feeling 100% that I felt in the dream.

The best way I can describe it is that you just feel like you're wearing a suit of iron that weighs a ton and you try to move in it, the best you can, and it takes up all of your energy to do, and it just drains you as you do it.

Umm....

So, yeah, there's my weird experience to report on. Any thoughts?

Your mind is waking earlier than your body. It can be scarey but its a perfect starting point to make an exit attempt. You shouldn't try to move at all and keeping your eyes closed, make the heavy feeling even stronger. Stay relaxed and passive as much as possible knowing the end result is an exit.
As you feel heavier imagine you're diving deeper into the ocean and the water pressure is responsible for the weight. Use this to create a scene of decending and feel the associated falling too.
If successful you'll be in the underwater environment and have total memories of the physical world. Then you can think of something and take control.
Have fun.

It's just such a weird feeling, feeling like you weigh a ton.

I bet the dream was just me being in a light trance, and physically feeling the heaviness of my actual body, bleeding in to the dream.

I've just never had it before, and now here I go, dreaming about it and actually experiencing it. Hoorah!

Probably a good sign and all. Everytime something new and bizarre happens, I just count that as a + and carry on, expecting more to come.

Lionheart

It sounds to me like you were in heavy SP mode. That's when wiggling your toes brings you back to the physical once more.

Fairywindblues

Oh, I've noticed something while in SP mode and while now in this new heavy less-paralyzing SP mode. I can almost always break my right arm, free, eventually, and move it around.

Thing is, I have such a hard time figuring out if I'm in physical or not, because I obviously have dreams now where I have SP mode, and now this new heavy feeling.

I have had false awakenings where I'd dream about getting SP. Lately, I've been feeling my body bleed through into my dreams.

I sometimes experience SP in my dreams, and now, this heavy lead block feeling, too.

I mentioned this to all my IRL friends and not a single IRL person that I know has ever reported getting SP, or this heavy feeling, much less dreaming about SP/this heavy feeling.  :-P

In fact... I told my mom, and she wants me to go see a neurologist, now, and is making me go. I'm 22 but she is all, freaked out now, and she wants me to tell the doctor exactly what has been going on... Yeah, like that will happen. :P

Szaxx

Good for you girl. They dont know anything and a shrink is their first option?
If my daughter (same age) said anything like this I'd promote an experience through it.
It's perfectly normal and has been termed the lead blanket over 100 years ago.
Shrink, nah...
Education for the parents. Yep, its so needed.
Stand your ground, do a little research on the lead blanket. They should change their mind, hopefully. You dont wanna be forced into a hug-me jacket.lol.

yep. that's our fate in a society like this ... in the end we as experiencers of the larger reality are always and will always be regarded and looked down upon as sth PATHOLOGICAL ... this makes me sad

Fairywind, you were so excited to try the Light/Sound machines.

I give warnings throughout my posts that we should not delve into something that we aren't ready to handle and deal with.

Well, this is one of those times you are seeing the results of opening "Pandora's Box".

The work you are doing with your Light/Sound machines will intensify the entire experience.

I have tried to tell people how good they are at doing this, but it seems to have fell on "deaf ears".

Your intent is to learn how to AP, so this is exactly why you are experiencing what you are now.

Now you need to learn how to work with it and use them to your advantage.

This is where there are no instructions any more. This you have to figure out for yourself.

You are awakening in "fear scenarios", because you haven't conquered your fears.

Also, because of the nature and intensity of these experiences, they are making you Consciously Aware, which is what you wanted in the first place.

Szaxx

Wise words.
We must learn to walk before an attempt to run.
It's common sense.
An effectively no-brainer.

Thing is, I have APed before, and I have had SP and false awakenings. Even telepathic dreams, all since I was about 15 or so. So that, I was used to. I just haven't had anything new or interesting start happening, like this.

You're right, Lionheart , I did try the light and sound machines but honestly didn't expect them to have this much of an influence. When I use them, I don't go OBE or even trance - at most, I'll get light visuals and my mind will wander into a fantasy.

It's when I don't use them that I notice these things, like, the lead blanket Szaxx mentioned.

I'm not so much scared to evolve, spiritually, or experience new things - I am a bit of a scaredy cat when it comes to being sick, or uncomfortable, etc. While in SP, or while having this 'lead blanket', my breathing becomes really strained and as someone who has asthma and allergies, I don't like feeling like there's something heavy on my chest.

As for the fear scenarios, who knows. They're scary in the moment but kinda cool to reflect back on. It's like "Oh hey, I was in my very own horror movie" :P

Lionheart

That's because the light/sound combination slow your mind enough so you are Aware of things that you weren't in the past.

This is how Brain Entrainment works.

The Delta and Theta programs on the Laxman and I guess other machines acclimate your mind to those frequencies.

People are in their deepest modes of sleep in those frequencies, but the Laxman teaches us how to stay Aware during those frequencies.

You may not be able to AP during a session, but indirectly it is helping you quite a bit.

This is why they use these machines with people with disorders, brain damage, etc.

It's not the short term remedies. It's what it does in the long term that counts.

Just a quick question Fairywind.

What's the difference between your "fantasy" you say your mind wanders into while using the machine and another "reality"?

Because having a AP, is entering another "reality".

Ah... how do I explain?

My best method for actually APing is to find myself in a lucid dream, or a very visual "fantasy" situation, where it becomes like I'm watching t.v., basically. Hypnagogic visuals, and such. I have found myself in very vivid lucid dreams, and a light trance where I'll find myself out in the woods, or by the ocean, or in such a place, but I'll still feel my body (barely, because it's falling asleep)

When I actually AP out of these dream or fantasy situations, I get a physical feeling. You know that feeling you get when you close your eyes for two seconds, see yourself tripping down a bunch of stairs, and falling? I get that feeling, while in a hypnagogic state where I'll be aware and where I'll have a 360* view. Like I said, like watching t.v. I'll actually start to meditate and concentrate, while in these states, to AP and reach higher states.

Each time I tried this, and it worked, it always felt like someone pushed me off a cliff and like I was tumbling at the speed of light, or going through some wormhole, or something. That's how I imagine being sucked into a wormhole feels, honestly. :P And, I'll always find myself in a much more vivid, and "real" place, with full clarity, 360* view, and, most times, I'll see an aura around my own body.

In a really vivid fantasy, unlike those detailed, realistic situations where you see just about anything and everything, and are a part of it, I just feel like I'm watching a random movie play out in my head. I'm not actually there until I become aware that I'm there. Then, I can actually project into a more realistic, detailed, clarified version of it, because the fantasy/dream becomes stronger.
