I'm starting to wonder if my medicine plays a roll in my violent dreams. I just woke up from a drowsy much needed sleep, and in my dream I killed my cat, with a rifle and woke up feeling pure sadness and I thought it was real. I am tired of constantly having nightmares. I was just curious... Can medication actually effect your dreams? They don't seem to effect my OBE's I have.

I'm sure they could. Mary Jo, my better half, starting taking Anti-Depressants a couple of years ago. She took them for a couple of weeks, then stopped. Her reason for stopping, she was remembering her Dreams and didn't want to. She stopped the pills and she stopped remembering her Dreams. End of story!  :-)
She was't totally "dependant" on them yet. I am definitely not telling you to stop your meds. I will say that again, I AM DEFINITELY NOT TELLING YOU TO STOP TAKING YOUR MEDS! Only a Doctor, knowing your circumstances is qualified to do that!

I hear what you are saying Lionheart! And don't worry I won't. I can't. It's very dangerous to just withdrawal. Besides if I don't take these I get uncontrollable panic attacks I can't stop, or haven't learned to stop yet. I just remembered a I used to be on Luvox and it gave me horrible nightmares. Probably because it does stuff to the brain. Obviously. I have an appointment coming up I was wanted to see everyones opinions or if they can relate  :-D

They are known to cause bad dreams.

Type in "Do anti-psychotics create bad dreams?" into google. I just did and there is far too much to put in this post. You can even try asking using your specific med.
