What could this be? What is happening to me?

Alot of strange things have been happening to me from the past months.

One that really amazes me happened a few days ago. I was dreaming, and then all of a sudden i was given poetry. I think i was reading it, but there was no book. Just a voice talking it straight. But this poetry was one of a kind, i don't know how to explain it since i cant remember it   It was deep, extremely profound. It was summing up and made sense of soo many things. Definetely who ever wrote that or had that in mind (i don't know) would of been a very wise person. At some point i thought it could be my sub conscious or something speaking, but i am not that smart!
Well this poetry was soo "pulling", whilst it being spoken i said to myself i better wake up and jot this down. But then! i couldn't remember what was said before. The voice would not repeat it. Then i think from poetry it went on to some sort of story or quotation, i cant recall exactly. But as the poetry, that was very profound as well!

What really disappoints me is that i couldn't remember it. I've never experienced something like this before.

My questions are, what had happened to me? Is it possible in some way to recall that dreams material?

Another thing is that (i've had this a few times) during my sleep or maybe when i am abit awake i hear like a LOUD sigh. It's more of a deep one, more of a whisper, and mainly of voice. ??

And theres a few more, but i'll leave with these two for now.

Hmm...

I feel your agony. There have been many times when I would wake up and think, "Gee. I got to get this down FAST!!", only to lose all memory of what it was i was trying to write down in the first place, in a split-second.

It is frustrating. This happened to me a month or two ago. Some man kneeled beside me and started telling me these "extremely profound" things about EVERYTHING. Then when I woke up, all I could remember were my feelings and the mood at the time.

I guess, sometimes it's better not to remember. Maybe were not meant to remember it at the time. But then again, maybe it will come back to you. There are times when I forget my dreams upon awakening yet within 5 hours I will remember it. And then, theres those times where you start thinking about something and then it reminds you of something in a dream/experience, and BAM what do you know? You just remembered it. Although, if none of that happens, I suggest you write each experience down with an insane amount of details. Really dig deep into that mind of yours and you may bump into something interesting. If you cant remember what the person said who was reading the poetry, explain how you felt in great detail. This tends to help.

And the loud sigh thing is strange. I think that up to you to figure out though. A month (?) ago I woke up in the middle of the night to hear a mans voice say "Hurry Up". Who knows what it means.

Welp. That's all I got. Take care, and if you feel like it - share some more of those experiences. I'm all ears!

Join the club projektr.   Just the other day I had four visions shown to me and at the time that it was happening I said... oh damn, I've already forgotten two of them, I will NOT forget the next two.  I totally forgot them.     I do however blame that mostly on me having to get up very quickly and not being able to think about what had just happened.

Maybe this happens to keep us interested.. kinda like dangling a carrot infront of us.  :shakefist:

Take Care,

Thanks for the feedback guys. I don't know cause i cant remember even a single word of that poetry and quotes. But it was something that made soo much sense, not just to me, but would apply to everyone! It (EDIT) wasn't something that would make you feel emotional good or satisfying, instead it was like an answer to life. At the moment the surest thing i know is that nothing is for sure, and at that moment that dream change the way i thought. I don't know how to explain it, only i wish i remembered it. Perhaps i'm wrong.

It wasn't a person reading the poetry. I know that for sure.....
Something just abit similar did happen to me, but it wasn't when i was asleep.

What about you Leilah, were you able to recall?

Oh BTW, whilst them profound words being spoken, at that very time i wanted to wake myself up and write. But couldn't remember what was last said.

The AlphaOmega

The subconscious mind is a very powerful thing, and the poem could have been something that you came up with yourself within your dream.  The voice may have been a means of expressing it to yourself.  I don't personally know of any way to recall the poem, but to increase dream memory is very helpful to write down the dreams that you have and every detail that you can recall immediately after you awaken.  In time you will recall much more.  Also, often throughout the day certain aspects of profound dreams will come to surface at random.  Be prepared to write those down as well.

The AlphaOmega, I couldn't have put it better.

Projektr, sort of. The only things I recalled, after writing it down, was the fact that the room was dark - the man had khaki pants on, I was sitting on my bed listening carefully, and that I was shocked. But I don't remember a word he said. =(

Although, I get the feeling that if I actually remembered what he told me in the first place, I would most likely have a severe belief system crash.

I agree. One's mind is yet to be completely understood. And i believe that it is one of the greatest gifts we all have, which we don't realise or pay attention to. I also have a belief that everything that has happened is in record somewhere in our mind. (what are your thoughts on that statement?)

And may i ask what are your beliefs? Are you a religious person? Superstitious? Skeptic? etc
You do not need to answer these questions if you don't feel like.

Thanks for all the feedback guys, it is much appreciated.

The AlphaOmega

I too agree that everything we have experienced is stored somewhere in the mind, including imagination thoughts and daydreams.

Sorry, but are you asking what are my beliefs, etc. or TheAlphaOmega's  ?

Ryuji

to remember better in dreams im using the one or more following techniques :)

get relaxed before bedtime - meditate.
its good to stay away from exciting stuff and violence related such as news and newspapers.

burn some insence beforehand, could always listen to calm music and just relax.

before i drift off i remember myself that i will remember everything clearly with total detial. or with "im going to meet up with my subconscious who is my friend and we going to share interisting visions with gifts in it for me"
it helps alot to make 'friends' with your dreaming to fussing with it :)

could also have some tools like dream catchers or dream arrows which i heard suppose to give your more lucid and better recall.

then when i wake i get out of dream state calmly rather that imidiate WHAT WHEN HOW !!!!!!!!!!! or other imidiate thoughts/problems. then slowly starting to recall and rework through my dreams. starting with dream yournal good thing. even if its one word at time better than nothing and soon it will build and you will remember more and more at time.

best is to immidiate write it down but hehe i know for experiance that doesnt always happen ;)

blessings,
Ryu

Yes, join the club. I too have been having experiences like this lately...

It is both frustrating and very interesting and it has compelled me to keep seeking and meditating.

I do believe however that I will at some point have waking access to these dream insights -  even if the insights, which seemed so important and true in the dream state turns out to be nonsense.

Guys... This is a very common occurence, you'll sometimes dream that you found the secret of the universe or the answer to some mathematical dilemma in your dreams, and then you'll realize all of a sudden that you only remember finding it, receiving it, being told "it" -- but you don't have any idea what "it" is!

Well, very often, you haven't actually discovered the secret to the universe...

Take for instance when you meet someone in a dream, but you don't recall seeing their face, you just know who they are, or you remember that the sound of their voice was a certain way, yet you can't remember what the voice sounded like.

The dreaming state actually only occurs for a few seconds, as most of you may know -- it is not like watching a movie, it is more like saving your recollections of the movie into your brain's "hard disk" ; I am not sure if this applies to lucid dreaming, but I am pretty sure most things experienced are actually only slowed down because of how you perceive time in the physical plane, but in another plane, time is not an issue, everything happens atomically beyond our comprehension...

I do not completely understand kiwibonga, can you elaborate please.
