Some dream issues.

I usually have a problem remembering my dreams in the morning. For as long as I can remember, I have only recalled nightmares and other terrifying dreams. Last night a friend and I were talking about it, and talking about some articles we had read, and different techniques we ourselves had tried for dream recall and ludicity and the sort.

Last night I fell asleep attempting to put myslef into an OBE.

When I woke up, I could (for possibly the first time) remember parts of my dream.
I didn't have a pad of paper or a pencil nearby, but even now I can remember what happened.
(or at least parts of it)

the part that stuck out to me was this:

I was in a relatively long, narrow room. The room was white and made of bricks.
I had my guitar and my amp, as well as the other things that I use in my setup,
and I was auditioning to be in a band.

Im not sure why, but I think the band was Lacuna Coil.
Now, Ive never listened to this band myself, but a good
friend of mine does, and the band is coming to my town
on May 4th.

What could this mean?

Also, do you have any other references to help me with dream recall?
i have read a few articles, and just printed off a few from www.ludicity.com.
Any other good ones?

Thank you for your consideration and help.

The Present Moment

Simple relaxation increases my dream recall by several orders of magnitude. Normally I'm unable to remember any of my dreams.

It may have to do with giving the brain a little time to cool off before sleep. You go in better rested and more able to retain the dream content.

ya

the main problem for me is that
on top of my a.d.d.,
when i go to relax or do mediations
i get a rush of excitement.

What i usually do that works sometimes
is just visualize the energy flowing out
of my hands and going either into my room
or going into the earth

sometimes though, the rush just comes back
it often gets to the point where i cant relax enough

Here's an easy trick: Think that you are lucid simply before you get into sleep. Imagine it in your head. Then say three times something like "I will remember my dream" once again in your head. Maybe even better if you say it really.

With that trick, i have remembered maximum of 6 of my last night dreams! Very useful i would say :) And i usually remember 1-3 every single morning. Also make sure that you don't wake up into loud voice comin from somewhere - it make dream pictures escape from your head very soon.
