Hi,

I stopped dreaming about three weeks ago. It's not that I can't remember, I wake up and there's nothing. I used to dream all the time and could remember every little detail. Could it be that I'm projecting and don't remember the projection?

I love dreaming so this is a little upsetting for me.

I had a strange thing last semester of college where I would never dream at school, only at home, and it wasn't until I quit cigarettes that I learned the cause. At school, I would always smoke a cigarette a little before bed, and this caused me to never dream. Another thing that can cause you not to recall dreaming is if you always wake during a non-REM state. Try changing the duration of your sleep periods, for example sleep and extra hour, and see if anything changes. Also, I've found that setting intentions before bed helps a lot. Just meditate all day and during each meditation tell your self you will have clear, memorable dreams that night. Do this once more just before bed, this can help.

Alcohol and cigarette are the things which affect a lot in dreaming.

Believe it or not, I've found that the bed/position you sleep in, also contributes to dreaming.

Want to hear something funny? I call my couch the lucid dreaming couch.

This was the couch I first got SP on, my first lucid dream on, and virtually every single time I sleep on it, I have a VERY vivid dream.

The couch is firm, and I usually sleep on my back on it, and it keeps my spine aligned really well. I have a theory about posture and firmness being important, while asleep, because maybe the chakras come into play here?

I stopped dreaming on my bed. In fact, my bed hurts my back. I switched to the 'lucid dreaming' couch and sure enough, for four days now, I've had a vivid dream every night!

This vs the 3 dreams / a month I've been getting on my bed.

I would also like to note that I went on vacation and had dreams on the condo bed every night, but, they stopped when I got back home. :(

It is very easy for you to get a dream because of your couch. Strange thing..

Today I posted this over at Xanth's Unlimited Boundaries Forum and I wish to share it with you too.

I have been having LD's up to 3 times a night for over 4 months now and I can definitely say, be careful what you wish for.

Many of your Dreams are created by your subconscious as all of you already know. But you have to seriously look at this statement for a minute and understand what opening your subconscious entails, which means seeing EVERYTHING you have ever had guilty feelings about in your entire life. By willing yourself to see your Dreams, you unlock all of this. You will have to deal with EVERY one of these things one at a time, any thoughts or doings that your may have had that you or others may deem inappropriate, you will find yourself reliving.

You become consciously aware right, smack in the middle of this. You have the power to just blink out of it. But you know you are seeing this for a reason.

The next day, whatever you viewed plagues your mind. It creates your mood.

I hear so many people saying they wish they can remember their Dreams. All I can say is there is a really good reason we don't. I don't think people would be able to go on with their daily life happily if they did.

When you awaken in your Dream, right in the middle of this, it's too late, you have to continue.

I find that my first Dream of the night is Subconsciously driven. This is the hard one to handle. The next Dream is normally in some foreign destination/universe/realm etc., these are the ones that really intrigue me. The last is usually one that starts sensible but get bizarre really fast.

I have kept notes on all of my Dreams for a very long time now and that in itself is a chore. Not everyone is ready to have their sleep disturbed after the first 3 hours, then awaken every 2 hours after that until they finally get up in the morning.

I am going to continue creating my intent to recall them, because it seems obvious that this needs to be dealt with and it looks like this is the time to do it.

But, this has been the hardest thing I have ever done in my life and it grips me deeply. It has caused my waking life to be an emotional Rollercoaster as well.

This in itself is very taxing. The song "House of Pain" by Faster Pussycat or "Second Chance" by Shinedown comes to mind here.

I say many times a bit here, not to open Pandora's Box unless you are ready to handle and deal with what comes out of it. This is definitely one of those times.

Thank You for listening!
