Hi everyone

I was just wandering like everything else in reality checking , you do it to bring on a  awareness in the dream states .

I was just thinking that when i fly in my dreams it seems to autimatically bring me to parcail conscious , as if the flying aspect  is a trigger to bring me aware . The flying feels that good or the levatateing , that its implanted the desire in my conscuios mind that much that i barely miss a flying expereince when it occurs .

The problem seems to be with me anyways , is delibritly bringing that flight dream on , i struggle to make a dream like this occur , it seems that their only happen when there feel like it , but when it does happen , it makes sure most of the time that i get some conscuios intervention within the expereince

One would think that being able to fly would be the perfect trigger for knowing that one is in a Dream, because, after all, nobody can fly except in a dream.  Yet most every time I fly in a dream, I think that I have finally learned to levitate.

Most of the times I have become Lucid during my dreams, it was because the power of consciousness simply reached that intensity whereby I simply knew that I was dreaming... there was no deductive reasoning involved.  The Awareness simply became Self Evident.

Leo - me too!  I usually become lucid for no apparent reason.  Al of a sudden I'll say to myself "right, I'm dreaming - let's get on with it!"  The trick at this point is "to get on with it".  It's so easy to think "right, I'm dreaming" and then to just sink back into the dream!

experimental - me too!  When I fly or levitate in my dreams this almost always is a dead give-away and I realise I'm dreaming!  I think the problem you have though, in trying to get these flying dreams to occur, will gradually improve by itself.  The more you become interested and immersed in this subject, the more flying dreams you will tend to have.

Good luck

Dear Catmeow,

Your Avatar Photo is rather appropos at the moment.  The Alpha Female of my feeding station feral cats recently had a few kittens.  I feel so stupid because of it.  Back last summer I noticed that the Tom Cats were forming a constant entourage for her and so ofcourse she would be having another litter.  I even added up the days and marked it on my calendar when we could expect the little family to appear.  But she never really plumped up very big and so I thought she must have miscarried.  But the other day on my walk I went by her old lair where she would always keep her litters -- behind an old iron fence, safe from human beings and most dogs.  And she was with two kittens, almost exactly like the ones in your Avatar photo.  At first I was rather moronic and thought, who is she 'babysitting' for, and then it occured to me that she didn't show much because she was only carrying two... and that she has raised them a complete secret from me for maybe 10 weeks now.  Anyway, at first she tried to lead me away from them, but soon acknowledged that it is about time they are weaned, and so she consented to stand by and show the little babies what 'cat food' is and how a kitty can crunch it down and satisfy its hunger.  After two episodes of standing by and watching their mother perform the strange feat of munching down what looked like little unappetizing pebbles, they finally decided to have a taste, and were thereby instantly weaned.  Ah, Cat Food, the Elixer of Life.

Anyway, I am charmed by your avatar.

Hello Leo

Yes I love the Avatar photo...  My family has always had cats, for as long as I can remember.  My present cat companion is now a rather long in the tooth, small black female.  Old now, but still incredibly faithful to me.  She was a stray and adopted me about 15 years ago.

As a teenager I remember we used to have a rather intelligent tabby female.   Sadly, whenever she littered, my parents would always dispatch the poor little kittens to various friends and good homes.  But this always meant their mother was left broken hearted.

So one year she did exactly what your cat did.  She had a litter in secret and weaned them for some weeks without our knowledge, in an overgrown grassy area a few hundred yards from our house.  My brother followed her one day and discovered the litter.  Once again we gave them away.

It was very sad to do this.  I am amazed at how intelligent some mother cats are and how strong their instincts are.  Your own female seems to be an intelligent mother too.  Perhaps you'll be able to hang onto these two little kittens?!

Anyway, I'm pleased you like the photo!
