You see, in your Dreams you are not necessarily identical with your Waking Self.  One can not only have Dream Characters in one's dreams, but can even BE a Dream Character in one's Dreams, that is, to be a DIFFERENT Persona than from one's Waking Self.

If you have trouble understanding such a concept, then think of it in terms of Multiple Personality.  Though it is extremely rare, certain individuals have been known to give rise to completely distinct Personality Entities in their one Body -- being one 'Person' one day and another 'Person' on another.  This same phenomena is not nearly so rare in Dreams.

If one has the opportunity to look at one's self in a Mirror, or any reflective surface, such as a glass door, while one is Dreaming, it can often be seen that one is not one's Waking Self.   While we are walking about in our Dreams, we usually assume we are the same as our Waking Self, but seeing our Reflection will often enough prove us wrong.   One time I thought I was myself -- a Old Man, but when I passed by a building with a glass front, I saw that I was a young svelte woman.   We can be completely different without realizing it.

So, speaking a Foreign Language should be a clue that we are occupying another Persona from that of our Waking Self.

Have you read Revolutionary Psychology by Samael Aun Weor? A few of the numerous books that he has written might help in the quest to answer such questions. Not all of his books are really useful (the ones written earlier on in his life have a lot of mistakes). Revolutionary Psychology, though, is one of five which are very useful and are commonly recommended for reading.

Nay

I've done that, but had no idea what language it was.  It was nothing I've ever heard.  Unlike you being able to tell it was Russian and Chinese because that is a common dialect.  It's quite the strange feeling.
