Hello guys, I would like to share what was probably the scariest thing that's ever happened to me.

I was lying in my bed ready to fall asleep. I fell asleep pretty quickly, and then shortly after that was a terrifying experience. I was lying in my bed, and I first starting hearing my parents voices. Then I remember turning my phone on, but could barely see the light coming from it. Obviously this scared me, so I got up and went to the bathroom and turned the light on. But no light came on whatsoever. I started to really panic, so I ran to my mom's room and tried to tell her what was happening. But when I did this, no words came out and I could not talk. I actually woke up after this and was terrified for a minute on what just happened. Any ideas on what may have happened?

You, essentially, had a false awakening.

It's a projection in which you don't realize you're projecting.  Also commonly known as a "dream".  :)

The non-functioning light switch is usually a dead giveaway for me.  If you had realized it was a dream, you would have been consciously projecting.  :)
