Why take energy from your body? I've heard of using objects like crystals to store extra energy for later and drawing that power back as needed. A nice crystal grid to support your dreaming would be good.

I've heard of techniques of drawing (feeding) of energy from other people.
Find someone preferably asleep and try to drain some of their energy into you.

This is the same technique that could be construed as 'neg' techniques, and I would be morally against this.

Shows you what might be possible though, even if it alerts you to the possiblility of someone else doing it to you!

It is not necessary to take energy from other people. There is more than enough for everyone. Usually the problem is that we limit the amount of energy we can bring into ourselves and then waste what we do take in. By changing both situations during waking hours in the body it will be easier to have more energy for lucid dreams and astral projection. Just taking in more energy without actually fixing the problems will end up causing more harm than good.

I tried that crystal grid thing with some crystals.  But I dont have any the same so I had to improvise with ones which probly didnt go well together for dreaming.  I did reiki on them and put them in the star of david thingy around me bed.  Not quite sure how effective is was, I never become lucid though.  I forgot to program them as well for the specified cause.

I have plenty of experience of being drained by people.  I choose not to stoop to that level though, although occasionally in an argument.  The energy you get off other people kinda feels 'dirty' sometimes..

Tom

How far have you gotten with the reiki?

A crystal grid with just plain quartz would be easiest. Amethyst works, too. When you clear the crystals and charge them, have some central point through which the goal should be worked. A single crystal in the center, maybe, to represent your dream body.

The issue of the quality of energy which can be taken from other people did not cross my mind. It is a good point. Anyone with energy you would want might be better at keeping it, right?

I'm only Reiki level 1 at the moment.  I did however e-mail for level 2 just yesterday as I have been feeling for some time that I should get it.  I kinda dont see the point in getting more except to strengthen the connection.  If you want to give people distant healings I would have thought anyone who knew the vibration and energy could use it anyway they want.  Anyhow still feels important somewhat.

For the grid I used five crystals.  Two medium ones the rest little.  The large ones were a double terminated quartz and an amethyst.  Also used citrine, iolite, and rose quartz.  Oddly enough I often get drained dreams when I sleep using that quartz, but its the only one I have and its been cleansed plenty of times...

I generally avoid getting caught in the conflict of nicking energy.  I try to get a good flow from the source each day so I dont need to do that, but its harder in dreams.  I try to only take energy when its been taken off me first, depending on how I feel I might take a bit more, teach them, or maybe just close my energy field so they're stumped.

Many of my life's recent dreams I have encountered situations or experienced activities in which I am left feeling weak, drained, or unfocused.  I know that in some cases I have been drained by a spirit that works through my weaknesses... but thats not the point, protection is not an issue.  Sometimes I am in a duel or somin, or I do a lot of running or flying ;) whatever and I can get very tired, moving becomes troublesome.

Now I know it is unlikely that I will find a way to become energised in my normal dream mind state.  But I find in many dreams nowadays I do become lucid, out of the blue, for varying periods of time.  Last time I felt weak and I experienced lucidity I remember trying this method I read for use when astral projecting which involved sucking energy from your sleeping body into your dream/astral body.  I can't really remember how effective it was in the dream.  I was still very unfocused, vision was not clear, possibly worse.  But I think I did manage to journey and go with the flow more than I thought I would...although I didnt feel much better.

Does anyone here know a way to gain astral strength whilst in the dream state?
