Every time i try to fly in a lucid dream i get vertigo when i look down, and often wake up because of the shock.

I'm sure some of you have experienced this too...

¿You got any tips to avoid vertigo? ¿Or it is just trial and error?

thanks.

The problems will disappear, if you try often enough to fly. You must get familar with the state.

I had the same problem, and it reduced over time.

^ This.

The more you do it, the more accustomed to it you'll become.  Simple.  :)

Hi,
Reaffirm yourself, if you CAN fly then gravity has no effect on you.
You'll get familiar with it soon.
Its the physical fear of falling in most cases which don't apply.
Have fun.
There's far more where the eye can't see.
Close your eyes and open your mind.

Thanks, thats what i thought.
Its good to hear that some of you have the same problem.

Just for curiosity, ¿flying in dreams has reduced your vertigo in real life?

Flying while Phasing has totally rid me of my fear of heights. It also showed me the most beautiful scenery I have ever witnessed, including the cities in the sky. Your flying will become easier with practice as the others here have said. Everything usually does in the Astral.  :-)
