Hello guys!,
Okay, I really feel compelled to share my experience, In how i went from having no Lucid Dreams, to having 4 just a couple hours ago!!!
Okay, My first one was just about completely on accident. I woke up after only getting about 5 1/2 hours of sleep. I tried to stay away, had a few cups of coffee, But it wasn't happening, So i passed out on the couch. Had a short, very unclear, But fairly lucid dream......That....was nothing compared of whats to come

The following 3 dreams i had were lucid.....and about 4 times EACH throughout the dream, I kept saying " Clear up!! " Or " Clarity, Clarity, CLARITY!! " and the entire environment would beautifully clear up into a wonderful clarity. Each of my last three dreams felt as tho they lasted FOREVER!

Okay, So here's what i did that worked SSOO WELL

I think what helped on this matter, was how exhausted i was. Because upon waking up from a short nap, i gave very few seconds before i dropped my head, closed my eyes, and drifted back off. HOWEVER....Here was the process i took to have such good lucid dreams

I created a particular area and environment that I'm familiar with. I chose a circle of grass right in front of my house that i am very familiar of what it looks like. And i imagined the ground of what it would look like, if i was walking in wide circles, staring down at it. The grass just spun and spun and spun. I continuously kept saying in my head " I'm just dreaming....Its only my dream.....I'm just dreaming.... ".....Eventually, as i drifted into sleep, I noticed the patch of grass i was visualizing....was VERY VIVID.......I was now looking at it. I would stop walking into circles....and look up...and there it is...My house. The rest of the yard.....EVERYTHING!....I would scream " Clarity!...Clear up! "....and it would become a beautiful clear area...

I REALLY have to have people try this technique and let me know how it works for them. I am so incredibly stoked, i truly feel as tho i have had a personal breakthrough. Next step.....Lucid Dream Induced OBE!  ^o^;

Congratulations Ryan!  :)

You just discovered "Rundowns"!  hehe
And all on your own too.  I'm impressed.  ;)

As Frank said, it's all about "exteriorizing" your 5 physical senses as much as possible.
Now, because you were already rested up and VERY relaxed from your nap, it was much easier to do this.  This is also why people mostly find most success happens first thing in the morning.

Anyways, back to this "exteriorizing" of the senses.
What you did was created a scene, visualized it, and phased your senses from 100% physical to 100% visualization.
The more you engage your 5 senses in the scene you've created, the easier it is to phase INTO that scene, which is *EXACTLY* what you did.  :)

Is a good example of a rundown and what they should entail.

Keep up the good work, you're well on your way now!

that rundown seems too complex to me, but its up to the person I guess

edit: Additionally, I have no idea how anyone can't think this is a phase into f2oC

Maybe it was the coffee that made him able to be a bit more aware than usual.
And after entering the dream he was still more aware because the coffee is in his body.
And that it is no difference if he is focused on the physical or on the dream.
Because maybe the dream is in your body, to be exactly, in your mind.
But if that is the case then it maybe means that dreams are not in what is called focus 2.  :-P

I am gonna try drinking coffee, and try it, and report to you all.

Strangely, coffee seems to give me a slight edge like that as well.

Well done Ryan!

I enjoyed reading your post. I should give a try on this rundown technique... Can I ask you about this:

QuoteI woke up after only getting about 5 1/2 hours of sleep. I tried to stay away, had a few cups of coffee, But it wasn't happening, So i passed out on the couch.

Do you know how long you staid up? 10mn, 30mn, an hour ?

Quote...Eventually, as i drifted into sleep, I noticed the patch of grass i was visualizing....was VERY VIVID.......I was now looking at it

Did you have a sense of having been asleep for some time between your last 'I'm dreaming' thought and the moment you saw vividly the patch of grass? Or would you say it was a quick transition?

The act of resisting a thing is the act of granting it life. The more you resist, the more you make it real - whatever it is you are resisting.
