Evil Dream

ok i didnt know were to post this but thought i'd try here first as im hoping that this is purely a dream and that others may have had experiences with this kind of thing before.

Theres a bit of a back story, i suppose i should tell it now to avoid you having to ask, mainly what it is, is that some people think my house is haunted, my house is quite an old house, on its own in the country, i live alone and its never bothered me but recently things have started to happen, im a logical guy and can usually break things down to explain them but some of the experiences i have had, i just cant explain.
I must also say that this stuff has only been happening since i have been trying to AP, either it wasnt happening before or maybe im just noticing it now, maybe AP has made me more atune to certain things?

Anyway when my parents go away my step brother usually comes to stay with me, im 25, he is 5, so theres quite a difference in age, when i was looking after him a few weeks ago i was having trouble when i put him to bed, i would hear him running around upstairs, but when i went up to him i would find him fast asleep in his bed, i would think to myself "he's good at not getting caught", or so i thought, anyway one night "my step bro" had really been misbehaving, same old crap i'd hear him, go an check and he would be in his bed, i was sitting downstairs, the door went, it was my GF, she told me my brother must be out of bed as she had seen him from the front wndow, brushing his hair in a mirror, the front room is my bedroom so i was gonna kill him for going in there, again i went up and he was in bed, the next day i was talking to hiim, trying to ask if he was out of bed, it was like getting blood from a stone, he was too busy playing with his toys but he said it could have been his friend, i asked who his friend was and he said it was a girl called Daney, might be spelt wrong but he prounces it like Dane-ey, he said that she always wanted to play and she would keep him up, ok so all kids have imaginary friends right?

Anyway now my GF thinks my house is haunted, not a nice thought at night when im on my own in an old creaky house, so the reason i posted here is because of this recurring dream im having, it starts of with me in my living room, doing nothing it seems, just sitting, then i hear a noise upstairs, i think to myself "oh she's at it again?", i get up and slowy go upstairs, the futher up the stairs i go the louder the noise gets but when i step onto the landing it stops dead. I look around upstairs and am drawn to the attic, i pull it open, pull down the ladder and go up, strange thing here is that when i go up its quite bright, not dark like usual, there is a desk in the middle of the attic and on the desk is a diary with the name Daney on it. when i go to pick it up i hear a voice from behind me "what are you doing here?" when i turn around i see a young girl in a white night dress, i can never remember what she looks like in any detail, i tell her this is my house, she giggles and tells me this is no ones house and they dont want anyone living there. i then get cross and tell her no its my house i payed for the place and i live here, she then gets mad and screams at me, her scream is so loud that i have to cover my ears and i close my eyes, when i open them again she is gone, then when i turn around to look for her she is now where the desk used to be, at this point she grabs my wrist and it hurts, everything usually goes blurry here and i hear alot of shouting from different people, cant make out what it is but they sound angry, then i wake up with a start and find it difficult to get back to sleep, this started 4 nights ago and last night i woke up and my arm was really sore, there was also a red mark, like a burn on my arm, it s on my wirst were she grabs me.

ok so this could all just be my sub consious playing tricks, you dream of what you experience, my brother put the daney idea in my head, my GF made me think my house was haunted, i sleep beside a radiator so maybe i burned myself on that during the night right?, plus maybe i opened myself to recurring dreams by reading all the AP stuff, i was trying to induce AP from LD so maybe thats it.
i feel like such a pussy, i was hearing noises in the attic but its probably just the wind so i had my GF stay tonight since we are both off tomorrow, im sort of afraid to go to sleep, my GF is asleep now i guess i better go and join her but if anyone has any methods of dealing with these dreams i would really like to know, i dont believe in ghosts but maybe its my own brain working against me?

This is pretty interesting and weird. Your subconscious could've recreated it. Sometimes, when something happens in the physical, something could happen in your dream. For example, someone can shine a light in your face while you're sleeping, and in your dream, a hole appears in the sky and light comes and you hear God's voice. It I were you, I would ask your step-brother more about these people. Young children are better than adults in seeing these kinds of of things, so these people might be visiting you in your dreams. Just my thoughts.

That was quite a spooky story, i dont really believe in evil spirits or anything but i remember when i was at jonas ridgeway there was one guy who woke up with marks on his chest and he related it to something attacking him in the astral plane, alot of people on the site didnt agree with him and said that it was the subconsious mind, its like the power of suggestion, anyone ever start scratching themselves near you and you start to become really itchy as well?, i cant remember any of the other examples used but its along those lines.

I dont know about the sound of someone running about your house at night, you sure it wasnt your brother doing it, kids have a tendency to do things and blame their imaginary friends, i remember my brother used to say he saw a baby in the mirror and it scared the crap out of my sisters, it was funny because he has the same sense of humour as me and i could tell he was joking, i could see he was really serious but also trying not to laugh and he was quite young at the time so maybe your brother is doing the same kind of thing?

When i was younger i took a bite out of a bar of soap and i blamed it on a bear... named Bob.
Even tho i hadnt met a bear named Bob at all.
Aaaaaaanyway...

As for the posters dreams. I would say its probly just your brain trying to piece things together.
You see things in horror movies like haunted dreams and such, so sure enough when your put in that sort of situation yourself, your brain might recall what youve seen previously, and replay it. Maybe a dejavu style defense mechanism?
Maybe if you tried to confront daney it would shed some light?
