I first want to say, it's nice to have the forums back! and what a nice change! Adrian definately rocks. :D
Now onto my curious vision and dream...
I started getting sick with some virus last thursday but the fever didn't hit me until Friday late afternoon. Thank goodness my husband was able to take care of all the kids and allow me to crawl into bed because that virus was kicking my booty. At one point I was half awake and asleep...(you know when you get fevers like that you're almost forced to sleep) and I started getting hypnagogic images. The wild thing was, they were clear and I was able to hold them for alot longer than normally.
I was seeing trees in a forest from the view point of standing in a open field. Then it shifted to a different view showing me a dirt road between trees on each side. I then realized I'd seen this exact place before. I tried to go further down the dirt road but didn't manage it, I ended up drifting off to sleep and not thinking about it again until this morning, after having a dream of being in a two different villiages that were separated by a large forest. It was the same place I saw in my images three days ago.
I don't believe it was a past life.......but it had a weird realness to it..like it does exist. The dream was a mini-series..like most of my dreams and I don't want to bore ya'll. Plus some of the dream was just too weird to be a real place..I think. I did have strength that the other people found interesting, yet queer in the fact that I was a woman and could pick up a very large man and throw him to the ground. (hey..he was picking on me, it had to be done.. :P )
Another thing that sticks out, is one man that was constant in the dream. He seemed to always be to the side and whenever I needed something he would come into view at the right moment.
*The feeling of this guy was fading and I needed to go back to my recorder and listen to how I felt right after having the dream and have found out even more interesting things. This is why journals are the best!! I really recommend the hand held recorder, there is no need to open your eyes, turn on a light, or sit up...just slowly talk away..you get sooo much more out of it, because of the lack of having to wake up so fully to write it all down.
It seems this guy was a kind of helper or just hanging out to make sure my dream went the way I wanted. I didn't feel like I knew him personally. I mentioned throwing down a large guy, well after listening to the tape, this is what I said.
"After throwing this guy down, I noticed right away people were thinking....ummm, that isn't normal, a girl shouldn't be that strong. It's like I brought attention to myself and we were all getting uncomfortable. Then a man started laughing and started making it a joke, saying we have a tough one on our hands, or something like that. Everyone left me alone after that point."
This man was the same one whom helped through out the dream with other things. I know this post is getting long, but it's helping me work this out in my head..lol Allow me to give some excerpts.
"I realized I had this young guys jacket on and wanted to give it back, so I take off the jacket. There was a man there.....it's interesting how once I get within a certain distance from people, I don't even have to look at them but I can feel what they're feeling or thinking. This man was feeling ummmm respect, and agreement with me...but he was keeping his mouth shut, and he just took the jacket. I think he had a slight smile on his face."
"I went out the other screen door of the house and came out to picnic tables, and heard the roar of a plane. I look up and it doesn't even look like a plane...looks like a crate or something. And then the man that I handed the jacket to, said..No it's not....that is......he's carrying gasoline.
The next thing I see is this kid in very weird armor, and he starts laughing this evil laugh. He starts pouring gasoline on the kids sitting on the picnic table. I dove off the porch, grabbed him and kicked the gas out of his hand and just start ripping things off his armor. It seemed like some of the stuff was medically attached to him, so I have to break off his hand that is a giant torch. I ripped off his oxygen mask and realize I was right, it is a teenager. He is suffocating because I've taken his oxygen. I start yelling for oxygen..... I think it was that same one man....whom I handed the coat to, whom I kept getting the feeling that......now I think...I ummm....maybe he WAS with me, he wants to help all the time. He hands me the oxygen and the boy starts breathing, and I wake up."
It funny how I was questioning about this guy right after the dream yet, I could barely remember how it felt without going back and listening to it. You would think he would be the one thing I remember the clearest....veeery interesting.
I'm beginning to think that the dream itself wasn't much, but the location and that man WAS.
I realize my posts sometimes are hard to make sense of, but any comments are most welcome.
Thanks,
Nay
Hi,
I enjoyed reading your dream entry, the male dream character sounded very interesting, perhaps he could be your Animus, the masculine aspect of your unconscious personality?
Or maybe he could have been a guide of some kind? in my dreams I often feel a presence just out of view observing my actions, just recently this presence has offered verbal and pictorial advice at certain points in my dreams.

What you said above just goes to show how delicate and elusive dream memories are, I find that recording dreams as soon as I wake is extremely important if they are to be remembered or worked on.
Often if a few dream threads can be held onto then one can start to reel the rest of the dream in, just like following one end of a ball of string to it's centre.
Thanks for sharing

Thanks a bunch Sampson!
I'm pretty sure that different people in my dreams are aspects of myself. But this guy was a entity within himself....not of my doing. Guide sounds good, but I'm not sure. I didn't feel that level of emotions for him..I've met one guide and trust me...I knew it!
What I didn't mention, because I thought it sounded a bit silly... On the tape, when I saw the kid in the armor...I say.. "he seems like some real kid whom goes around and scares people in dreams"
I hesitate to say I stumbled into some actually reality going on somewhere out there in lala land, but that is the way I'm beginning to feel.
Oh..well...I suppose it will remain a mystery, but very cool to me. :D
Thanks for you comments S!

Hi Nay,
I read your post with gr8 interest then read on down to your second post. Methinks you are heading in the right direction with your thoughts on this one.
While the man may be a guide, I also think there is more to it. Some women i know have had similar dreams of this supporting male being ready to assist when needed, otherwise he stays quietly within reach while you deal with the situation.
I have to say that a few things really stood out to me. Your power display.. it is a dead give away to the others.. it shows you are powerful in reality... although not in the strictly physical sense, it is more related to your inner strength and abillities. The power you tap into or summon when absolutely needed, while you are being shown support for the doing of it.
I too agree that it feels astral, a reality, and maybe even a future reality in the sense of it is showing you some of your tasks here and astrally ????? How does that sit with you Nay ?
Love Always.

It sits quite fine Tay, thanks! :D I'm starting to agree that is what it was, another reality.
That power thing...I've noticed a certain pattern of late. I've always helped out in dreams physically, but lately I've been using...*hides eyes*...telekinisis..*snort* that is the one where you move things with your mind, right?
Methinks I've watched X-men 2....two many times..lol It seems to impress the folks around though. :P
I'm really interested in meeting up with this individual again....I know he exist somewhere. It's not quite 6am here, I'm going to crawl back to bed and have a go at it.
Thanks for your thoughts Tayesin, they're always wise. :D
Take Care,
Nay
Nay,

Never sell yourself short! You have great advice. :D
I tried this morning..fell asleep. I did wake up real quick and remember one thing from a dream.
Does anyone here wear a long cloth, grey cloak and happens to have dark olive complexion, with dark not quite shoulder length hair. Oh..and bright blue shoes???
Hows that for a silly question?...

Hi,
I have little to say about dreams anymore. I'm going through a little or no recall of dreams now. I've found it has had an impact on my insight into dreams. I trust it to be a seasonal or phase I'm in. Otherwise, I would love to contribute to dream interpretations if I could.
This sounds like a good dream, Nay. I enjoyed reading it. I remember having a waking dream (I call it equal to lucid dreams). A man in Armour approaching a wall (in my bedroom). A reply from behind the wall was a challenge voiced by a female, she had an evil and threatening voice. She said something like, "Come in here if you dare." It frightened me enough to snap out of the trance I was in (what I call lucidity).
Just wanted to share my Armour guy with you. And I wanted to try out the new forum. :D
I agree with your original post....Adrian did do a wonderful job!
Hi Wisp,
Are you tired at the moment and getting enough sleep? I have found that my dream recall can be difficult and hard work if I haven't had enough sleep, but in general I have learnt to recall between 2 and 6 dreams a night, every day.
A trick that works for me is that on waking I'll backtrack on the first dream I can recall and then journey backwards in reverse order picking up the dream fragments. It's a real memory challenge but it works remarkably well for me, and gets easier the more you do it, it's often quite unexpected to see how much information can be brought back.
I also find that making a firm affirmation that I will remember my dreams on waking works very well just before going to bed.
When I first started trying to interpret my dreams I often read too much into the symbols, which resulted in a distorted or incorrect interpretation. I now realise that my subconscious/higher self speaks to me in the most basic and simple way possible in order for me to try and grasp what it is trying to convey.
I didn't realise the simplicity of all of this for quite some time, but now it makes perfect sense that the subconscious mind isn't there to confuse or confound, but is there to enlighten and provide help, assistance, answers and challenges.
I had a dream two nights ago that was similar to Nay's in a way, I felt the dream was a direct result of dealing with some emotional baggage in awakened state that had been troubling me for some time, I'll post it a bit later on in a separate thread.
If your dream of the armoured man, the wall and the woman's voice had been my dream I might interpret it in the following way, I pick the following elements as they seem to be the key symbols in your dream, of course this is only one possible interpretation and I'm using the most basic kind of interpretation of the symbols:
The man is armoured which could be seen as meaning he is ready for a confrontation or conflict, he approaches a division, obstacle or barrier, which is represented by the wall.
On the other side of the wall a woman can be heard but not seen, in a way she is disembodied, perhaps powerless? it is only her voice that we hear from behind the wall.
She comes across as being evil, why is she like this? Maybe it's because she feels trapped where she is?
The fact that she is behind the wall could be seen as being a form of defence, hiding, a retreat or protection.
The female voice is threatening and lays down a challenge or a taunt to the armoured man, it's as if she wants him to enter her realm for a confrontation.
Perhaps the dream represents a reconciling or coming together of feminine and masculine aspects? The confrontation isn't going to be easy but a challenge has been laid down and through this conflict may come a resolution.
Just an idea, it probably has no bearing on your experience. You mention that your dream was lucid, I have found that many of my lucid dreams often don't serve as a theatre for learning but as a means of experiencing unrestricted play, pleasure and liberation.
Nay, sorry to have gone off your original post there, I guess I got a bit carried away!
Cheers
S
Thanks for the interpretation, Sampson. Yeah, I'm getting a lot of sleep lately. I went a year with a little sleep deprivation, over that now. The dream was within this year of sleep disturbance.
Many people take life for granted. I pretty much live my life as it is a dream. Subconscious and conscious living I do at the same time. I've been learning about this since I first began having regular dream recall a few years ago. The dropping off of my dreams (recall) has effected my confidence. However, it's another stage I must approach.
If you don't understand, I'm saying that my dreams (traditional dreams) exists in my waking life. For instance, an enemy in a dream will be a waking life enemy, I don't dream it, I live it! This is why I don't have nightmares (in dreams). I experience real life. This is probably why the man in armour. I have to defend myself in real life. While succeeding with dream recall, I've been in control of my waking life. Before, not so. This is why dream recall is important to me. The season of fall is here. I'm hoping for a new transition to occur. I dreamed of seeing babies to my right last night, this is a good sign for me. Right= future, babies=new beginnings.
Thanks again. I will try your techniques. :D
