Dream of a shooting incident

This dream was short & vivid. It shows how noticing illogical scenarios within dreams can quickly create that "hang on a minute - I'm dreaming" reaction.

I recall being outside some buildings in the early evening. I stood in the shadows, knowing that around the corner sat a group of middle aged men. They were sitting in either a garage, or a small warehouse, discussing something.

I held in my hand a gun. From my position of cover, I began shooting the men, one by one. They were probably only sitting 15 yards from me. After firing each shot, a man would tumble to the ground. The others would look around, then continue their discussions.  I probably shot 3 men before realising that the gun chamber was empty; there were two remaining.

A strange thing then occurred. "Why don't you use this one," said one of the two men, a grey haired, slightly older looking guy. He was facing me now, holding a bullet in his fingertips; I approached, stepping between the bodies of the people I had just shot dead, took the bullet & retreated to my vantage point. The two men continued their discussions as I re-loaded.

I took aim at the other man, pulled the trigger, & missed his head. The bullet ricocheted off the wall behind him....He turned around and looked outraged. Sitting next to him, the grey haired man who had given me the extra bullet was surprised and worried.

Sensing danger, I turned and ran. My intended target was quick to his feet. He began firing on me when I was maybe 50yards or so from the scene. I ran through busy traffic, using the moving cars as shields. I can't recall ever running so fast in a dream!

For some unknown reason, I was wearing a police radio. As I ran through the streets, past countless streetlights & cars, I heard their calls.....sightings of me running down such&such a street....past a bridge...etc, etc. Soon, I was blending into the night and the streets, confident I wouldn't be found. Walking underneath a bridge at night, catching my breath with a gun in my hand, I was positive that I was in the middle of a bizarre dream !!

Kind regards,
Mark

That was awesome. I still have you beat though. When I was a little kid, I used to eat toilet paper (no, the fresh kind...) and I had a dream where I was crapping on the toilet, when I heard someone die. I jumped off the toilet, and somehow (without wiping) was in full ninja gear. I found that a bunch of ninjas had killed my mother, so I attacked them. That, and the doom 2 dreams, are the most vivid memorable dreams I've had... probably because they were the coolest ones I've had. The strange ones with less flash yet more intrigue are always forgotten so they stay written down.

One of my biggest dreams started as a 'shoot em up'.  Apparently I was a member of a commando raiding party, and my job was to cover the withdraw.  I heard the main attack go down and then witnessed the Main Force beating their hasty retreat.  Then it was my job.  Several Enemy Soldiers ran across the open and I fired quickly.  I didn't see that I hit any of them, but I made my point -- they all sought cover and kept their heads down.  I thought about it for a moment and decided that it really didn't serve anything if I were to continue waiting around.  And so I left.  I found a street and hijacked the next bus to go by.  Everyone was very cooperative and so I thought it was safe enough, but then I noticed that this one young lady was beginning to act defiant.  That was dangerous.  If the young lady could successfully dominate me, then I would be seen as weak and vulnerable.  And I didn't want to have to shoot her, so I got off the bus.  There was an old railway tressel, and a Sand Pit and hills of industrial sand, and a pond off in the distance.  I noticed I wasn't wearing shoes.

Now, in dreams, when you find you are not wearing shoes, it means you are on holy ground.  This told me that I was dreaming.  So I levitated up and got in a Lotus Position and AUMMMMMMed.  The air became tinted with violet, and then the air shimmered with wave-like undulations and then the air about 20 feet away tore open and the White  Light poured out.   The White Light formed into a very elaborate sculpture of a Paramahansa Swan and then zapped into my forehead.  The surprising thing was that the Swan had appeared to be quite large, and so zipping into my head seemed most unlikely.  And then the light formed up again and again and again into the Light Swans, although each time the Swan was less elaborate.  Finally the Swans were rapid fire -- many times each second they were whipping into my head, and they were ultimately very simple -- like the 'V' Birds that children draw, which are merely the wings of birds.

When I awoke I could still feel my head throbbing with the White Light, though I could no longer 'see' it.
