I have never heard the term Lucid Dream until researching AP.  (and I am 26)

I have always had very vivid dreams.  So vivid that many times I wake up acting out my dream....ie running to the other room, rocking my baby (but the baby is a pillow).

In the past I had a sequential dream that I could fly.  It started out with the first time I floated upward.  Then I progressively got better and better until I was able to fly anywhere.  I didnt have these dreams every night, but when I did it always started out from the last time and I still remembered everything I had learned.  I always new I was dreaming and controlled most of the actions.

There have been many dreams where I new I was dreaming but didnt have complete (if any) control and other times where I had ultimate control.  I always thought that everyones dreams were like this.  Until someone once looked suprise when I exlained my dream in vast clarity.  Color, smell, feels, visuals. People told me they only had dreams in black and white, and they mostly didnt remember them.  I thought that was wierd.

Once recurring dream I had was about a Woman Vampire coming to make me one of her own.  Even though it was the same dream every other night or so, It was always a different setting and every time I tried to take control I woke up.

Anyways.  Now I am trying to recall my dreams and for the past to weeks I either dont remember them or they were very dull and I didnt realize that I was dreaming until after I woke up.  Its just strange that when I finally get an answer to what my dreams are, I cant have them anymore

Dream Journals definetly help you remember your dreams. Especially if you do it for a month you'll be surprised at how many dreams you can remember. It will also help you induce lucid dreams.

Lighten

I used to remember maybe 1 dream every other night. The first day i got a dream journal i remembered 4 dreams. My average is about 2. I think it all has to do with desire. If you have the true desire to do something, your brain will help you out where it can. I have also found that when i make up in the morning i remember the current dream and tell myself that i will remember it and write it down later....but after i fall back asleep i dont remember it. So, if your really serious about it write it down right when you wake up the first time, then go back to sleep. If you are to tired and dont want to wake yourself up you can use a tape recorder and write them down later. (thats what i do)

Hope this helps
