So i thought i would chew on this thought for a bit and see what others think. When it comes to Thought forms or Beings in your dreams, of course they are commonly generated by your own Subconsious in the background fueling to keep them 'alive' within your range of perception.

Even though Dream characters are nothing more then your subconsious. Can they technically be 'alive' if you were put in there shoes? Thought forms that reside in your own dome of subconsious. Of course they are created by you. But Are they "alive" and "Conscious " in the way you and I are?

In a dream they would only be "Alive" if you put energy into them. But do they just simply dissipate because you stopped thinking of it? Or moved on in the dream? Where do these characters go? Are they alive because they are being kept alive by 'you'? Not in the sense that they are fake and lifeless but your subconsious that generates them keeps them alive unconsciously. Or do they just eventually merge into the "astral matter" and mesh into becoming something else different entirely as your dream progresses?

If yall can understand what im trying to say, what do you think of it?

i feel you.

this is something i thought about a bit when i was reading about Solipsism (denies that the human mind has any valid ground for believing in the existence of anything but itself.) and then considering what other people actually were if only my mind were real.  the philosophical explanation is philosophical zombies, creatures with no consciousness, yet fully capable of all other human behavior and action.  this is the "physical" version of what could be a reasonable explanation of "nonphysical" experience, especially if you feel that the two realms are intimately connected and consistently share energy back and forth (and that there is no real difference between the physical and nonphysical, we just happened to be focused more in one).  so maybe the thoughtforms continue to exist, just like other people exist, but there is no real consciousness in them.

also, creating thought forms while aware of the physical is a common practice.  one occult book i read taught you how to gather "astral substance" and shape it for use as an information gathering agent.  in this case the double is made from your own astral substance that you eject from your body.  but it's still taught that this vessel is lifeless.  i would think that it would have a spark in it once you've transferred your intent into it.  the final step in this act is reabsorbing the vessel into your body.  so in this sense, the self-created vessel doesn't exist when not in use.
be awesome.

I think most dream creations disappear when dream is over, but if repeated, some thought forms may manifest for some time, but not as living entities, only as energies, which slowly fade away.

If repeated for years and through awaken life too, they may stay and act for some time, for example function as protectors in real life.

brilliant NoY.

that's a really succinct way of explaining a vision i've had for years.  the first time i had it was when i got these really wicked ninth generation mushrooms (it means that they are the ninth generation of spores from one group of mushrooms and they have a highly concentrated level of the active ingredient) and the second time was opiate induced.  since that last opiate induced experience, i've had this vision regularly for years.  i see myself from a 3rd person view, then the camera zooms out really fast to encompass the whole universe and then as it keeps moving out the universe turns into my pupil and the vision starts again.  the interesting part is the feeling i get.  it's indescribable.  but what you just said is a better explanation of that feeling than i've ever been able to come up with.

nice.
be awesome.

Very excellent guys! :)

I also ask this question because technically If you see yourself  arent "you" made of the same 'material' as them in your own dreams? Engaging and interacting with them?

Everything in existence anywhere is made up of the same 'base material'.
