What does this dream mean?

O.k. I'm usually to very much into dream interpretation, but these dreams caught my attention.
Almost every night I dream about somebody trying to kill me! Each time it is a different person, they have different reasons to kill me or sometimes they just seem to be mad at me or  evil-minded. It is not a pleasant feeling!
I think this is really strange cause I never dreamed things like that in the past as far as I can remember.  I mean, somebody trying to kill you is quite a strong sign/message/dream content so what you all think this could mean?

I am afraid only you can answer that question...  Did something important/unusual happened in your life just before the killing dreams appeared?  Do you feel insecure?  Did you do any esoteric/spiritual practice that could have triggered these dreams?

How do you react?  Ignore?  Wakeup?  Fight back?

Hmm, but how? what could these killing dreams mean?

4 unusual things happened before the killing dreams started (as far as I can remember):

1) I intensified my meditation. I don't believe this could be the reason though, cause I meditate for over 4 years now and did just slightly increase the intensity. Funny thing: A guy in a dream told me to do so.

2)Somebody almost got me convinced that dreams are just a product of the neo cortex. I don't believe that anymore, I think. But probably my spiritual side didn't like that.

3) My LD's stopped. Partly due to a lack of practice on my side, partly due to some unknown reason.  I started again with my LD-Practice, still I haven't had any success so far.

4) I met a girl I once was in Love with. I hadn't seen her for 4 years and the meeting was quite strange.....

Hmmmmm......Any thoughts?

And how do you react...?

One theory I like is that:

- Emotions release energy.
- There are things out there looking for energy.
- So these things make you have emotions to get that energy

But that just one theory...

My reaction............

I run away and try to hide, sometimes they find me then I fight back. Yesterday I killed 2 Jaguars that intruded my hidung place. They didn't fight back though. I felt kind of sorry for them after I killed them with a axe.........

Tombo,

Out of the four things you mentioned that were precursors to these dreams, for me the fourth one stands out from the others. In my opinion meeting people from the past, especially ones with whom we had some sort of attachment invokes strong feelings within us, sometimes feelings that we didn't even know were still there.

I am no expert in dream interpretation by any means and anyway it is something that only the dreamer can do as Nagual said but it sounds to me like a dream where the dreamer feels that part of them that they are clinging to should be killed (or rather left behind).

"Excess baggage" and all that.

Hope that helps in some way  :)

You

What are you like in real life? A jerk? In that case it could be conscience. If you feel weak, you may feel like prey and this is your preysense manifesting. Anyway, what do you do to react to it in your dreams? Run? Try something different. Fight back, let them kill you, kill yourself, whatever. Maybe try hugging them? Do something totally weird that they begin to wonder what the heck is with you? Just vary it up, see what happens.

Tombo

Thanks for the help guys!

That makes sense. Even if it might not be the reason for the dreams it would be a good advice, so...........

Well NO! I'm not a jerk! Maybe you didn't notice but the dreams started a couple of weeks ago. If I would be a jerk, I would be a jerk for longer wouldn't I?!

Reacting different is a good idea but I'm usually not really aware, so I can't like ,control my reaction or something.

I also had a dream about somebody killing me, interesting it was both like real and like a role. I mean I was an actress in the dream but it was like a reality play, funny. Actually I knew that I was to be killed, not particularly afraid, and after dying I still was conscious. Like a Lucid Death lol. I suppose it was what they call the witness state of conscience. Still I remember a total disgust towards to persons killing me, anyway they were some villans... :)  :?

About your dreams, it might be that meeting that girl has shifted you in a very emotional state, which shattered a bit your 'psychic protection shield'...
Or it is a past lesson or happening (maybe even from another life), which you have to watch and solve, in order to move forward in your life.  :?:

But try to meditate a bit on the thoughtless awareness before sleeping, with the attention on the central energy channel (Sushumna, along the spine) and on the crown chakra, relaxed. Because the central channel is the profound sleep state (or the thoughtless awareness, if you can put it into connexion with the conscious mind). So, if your attention is on it before sleeping, basically you will skip the R.E.M. and will avoid funny dreams.
Sushumna can produce dreams still sometimes, but they are direct messages from the unconscious, so called 'enlightened' dreams (correct, unbiased messages, dreams with deities, your true self etc.). Or Lucid dreams are result of connecting Sushumna with the conscious mind, but I'm not sure what you understand as LD. So don't push it too hard for a few days. Generally will meditation on the central channel, you will fell more relaxed and in a state of unaltered conscience, so no more attacks.  8)

It sometimes takes a period for our conscience to catch up with us. That aside, people change, it could have possibly been very recently that you became a jerk. If this were the case, it makes sense that your past self is in conflict with it and expressing it through dreams.

As for controlling the reaction, if you're not lucid, you generally can't, maybe try affirmations on how you act, or change the way you deal with confrontations in reality and see if it rubs off. Lucidity would be the best way but isn't always doable.

Tombo

What exactly is a jerk?! (I'm Swiss)
I thought jerk = Idiot  :?:

Thanks. Well the dreams stopped since I started posting them here. Don't know why though. I'll wait and see if the they come back.
I don't think I'll direct my attention on the central energy channel or something, because I want to have these dreams and solve them and not in any way block them. It was not like a terrible situation or something (the dreams I mean) it was just strange and felt like some kind of a message. But since they stopped I won't bother any more. Sooner or later I will meet the girl again and then I'll see if the dreams react to that or not.

Cheers Tom
