Title: What makes a dream vivid
Post by: ange.connell on August 08, 2012, 15:08:52
Last night I had a very vivid dream about my 'friend'. We have been friends for 5 1/2 years up to 3 weeks ago and now I don't hear from him. I miss his friendship/chats etc and there are questions and things I want to say to him and these are playing on my mind. So could this be the reason for my very vivid dream? It was so real I thought it was true when I woke up. And what makes a dream vivid or not vivid?

Thanks

Emotional attachment has a lot to do with it, but your level of "awareness" in the dream is usually what creates the vividness.

In my experience, vividness is *directly* related to how consciously aware you are, as Lionheart mentioned.

Thanks to you all. He knows how to contact me - he just carnt

But getting back to my vivid dream. You say its to do with my level of 'awareness'. Does that mean I had a high level of awareness and if so could I have projected from it?

Thanks

Pretty much, yes.  :)

Although it doesn't mean anything more than just gaining more awareness.  When you're dreaming, you're already projecting... you just need to become aware of that fact.
