What the topic says, whenever I become lucid I wake right up. Any ideas why? Or how to prevent it?
Most people are pawns, believing what is meant to be believed, never even letting the thought that TK, PK, CK, AP's, ect. could be real. The ones who do, however, have broken their chains, and are free from the bonds of society.

Thanks, Xiatrix :p

Practise, I guess. Maybe we celebrate too much when we realize we're aware of our dreaming, and that rush of endorphins brings us to wake.

Maybe, I don't feel excited or anything when I realize it, just something so unlogical will happen and i'll be like "Hey, this is a dream" and wake up. Maybe I feel excited and don't remember, who knows.

Got the exact same problem, every time i go "hey, I'm dreaming" i wake up, but as long as the dream is only partially lucid i can stay in.
Guess it's a mater of practice as Tyciol says, but i also disagree on the excitement part because i can be totally calm and i still wake up.

it sounds like your just use to waking up each time. you just expect to wake up witch makes you wake up. just think of flying as soon as this happens

Controlling anxiety is very important to stay lucid.

I get the same problem, I don't get excited or say "Hey I'm dreaming" etc. Usually I wake up in fear - this happened yesterday when an alien tried to do something to me when I went lucid. :( Next thing I know is: I start spinning and then I wake up.

Oh, frak. Guess I'm hopeless, then.

Not necessarily, I have an anxiety disorder which I am slowly over coming and I am still able to remain lucid. At first it was a problem, but now I have more problems with staying focused instead of staying asleep.
