Title: Who helps me explore the dreamworld?
Post by: AndrewTheSinger on September 16, 2003, 23:56:59
These experiments are very interesting and fun. What if we try and find out each other parent's names?
Just tell me your real name and location and I will look for info on you in my dreams. [:P]

Mine is Leandro, from São Paulo - Brazil.

Well, alright but why do you need my real name? With name and location I guess it's possible to find the parents name via internet. Don't wanna offend you! I give you my name  and you figure out my girlfriends name. What about that?
Tom Bodenmann, Switzerland
I'll try your parents then..

Sure, it's alright, even better I think.

Will look for it tonight. Thank you.

Forgot to ask the name when I had the chance last night, will keep trying.

I have some ideas on meaningful questions we can ask in the dreams to receive information, I'll tell you more about it after I get a name. See you!

Success! - I think hehe,

I came back with a name, not sure it is the right one though.

The name I received is SIRGETA.

This is what I've done to come to this name:

Once when I projected I asked the name of a person, a character I saw in the Astral, let's suppose it was Greta. On a piece of paper I wrote this and put it on a table: Greta, helpers, what's the name of Tom Bodenmann's girlfriend, from Switzerland. Please show me the name somewhere I can see and understand it.

Then I left some space for the answer, expecting to read it when I projected today.

I was in a dream, singing in my room and suddenly I remembered the experiment and looked for the paper. I found it and saw ALOT of names written on it. It was written something like this:

" The name is as it follows:

a) Spifieta
b) Sbriela
c) Seniela
d) ... "

And it kept showing names up to the letter 'o', I think. But the first one I saw I'm sure it was SIRGETA. I don't know if im messing up because it kinda sounds like Greta from the example lol. I had used the name Greta as an example to explain to a friend of mine what I was gonna do to find your girlfriend's name.

One thing I noticed was that all names started with an 'S' and ended with an 'A'. Maybe they all had the letter 'T'  somewhere in between.

If that's not the correct answer forgive me for taking your time, I had never heard that name before in my whole life hehe, but this was really what I saw. I know dreams don't give 'chewed' answers, but clues, and I can't find any relation between that name and anything that I know.

Post by: AndrewTheSinger on September 19, 2003, 13:51:45
Perhaps her name is Stella, now that is appealing hehehe.

My idea for the experiments is to go for things that concern the spirit. I don't think names and numbers mean much.

For instance, you could print out a circle on your favourite colour and put the paper on a desk in your room or something. I would have to figure out what colour you chose. Or we could use a scheme of symbols, all preestablished so that I can know what symbols you have available, you cut them out and choose one for the experiment. You leave the symbol on your table and mentalize it sometimes during the day, trying to pass the message to me telepatically, then I try to receive the message in my dreams.

Other ideas involving tables: cd on table, set of preestablished words on a pice of paper, preestablished books, etc...

I could also go for your favourite colour, favourite drink, favourite season of the year, favourite band.

Oh, wait wait, maybe her name is Sarah, cause there was this song playing by Sarah Mclauchlan, in the arms of the angel. Hmm it can be..

Her name could also be Kristina, because the first person I heard singin that song was my friend Kristina.

Stella, Sara or Kristina, you tell me, oh yes, and Sirgeta hehe.

*Sorry for adding one more name but If you said it was Kris before me it would be a shame.

Okay we can keep on trying, when you have some time tell me more about your experiments.

Hmmm,   Maybe names are to difficult to find out cause words tend to change all the time in the dream world. Maybe you got her soulname, if there's such a thing. Or it's not pssible to receive such information in the dreamworld. Or maybe one has to train this ability first. I mean it's clear that the mind interferes with the dream, so I expected it to be difficult to find out things like names and stuff. I believe it's possible though!! to conclude something  me must at least try again, also, we need more people to participe! We could try the color thing. I pick me favorite color and draw a cicle and mentalize it several times a day, what about that?
Or we could also  try to find out more about the dream world. In my last LD I asked an other dreamcharacter who he was. He said he were only a "channel" which I didn't believe him. So you could do the same in your next dream. I wonder what answer you get. Or we could try to protect to a certain place which we don't know and then we could compare our experience. What about that?
My LD abilities are not that good, I manage to get only about one LD a week :-(  What technique do you use?
Well anyways thanks for your effort, see you Tom

Sounds like fun, only problem is that my dreams have been going downhill latley. I cant become lucid and I'm starting to forget my dreams even after I wake up.
Title: Who helps me explore the dreamworld?
Post by: Tombo on September 22, 2003, 06:02:40
Hey Logic! I'm not that good at LD either. But, of course you have to become lucid from time to time in order to participe, maybe you could practize a bit more or maybe read the book from stephen laberge, thats a good one.

To AndrewtheSinger: I became Lucid and tried to find out your parents name. I was walking down a street , I said that I want to read the names of your parents on the side of the streets. There was a text and one word was thicker. It said Bete, than it changed into Beta or Berta. Than I remember something with P and an "i" somewere like Pierre or something. Well I don't know...
What about Berta and Pierre?
Title: Who helps me explore the dreamworld?
Post by: AndrewTheSinger on September 22, 2003, 19:10:35
Wow man, you're doing some great job there Tom, Bete is my sister, she is old enough to be my mother since I'm the youngest son, I have other 2 brothers, she is the eldest amongst us.

My mother's name is Erminia, and my father was Lourival.

What I do to induce lucid dreams is self-suggestion, I lay down with the mission in mind and tell myself that tonight is the night.

One other way to induce the dream is to write down the route of the dream as you would like it to be. For example: 'In my dream I'm walking on the beach watching the waves crash into the shore. It's a nice morning, there are not so many clouds and I can feel a soft breeze. I see a couple walking ahead hand-to-hand and I decide to approach them. I greet them and ask their names, they tell me, I walk some more and then I awake.'

Write it on a pice of paper and put it on a desk in your room.

I'll try your technique next time and sure, we can go for the other experiments.

Really? Bete is your sister[8D]. Thats pretty awsome caus I never heard that name before! Bete was really the first thing that poped up, then it started to change. So it looks like it's a least possible to get some infos thru the dream, cool!
What do we try next?
Title: Who helps me explore the dreamworld?
Post by: AndrewTheSinger on September 24, 2003, 05:24:40

Yes, is it the first time you look for names?

You choose what we do next.

Once I was in a dream and started asking things to a dream character. I asked many questions, and while I asked I kept telling the person to hold my arm, cause I didn't want to awake before I could get the answers. While she held my arm I felt stable, but her face changed all the time, sometime woman, sometime man, I asked if there was really life after death, and she said: 'Yes, and psychoanalysis'. Then she let go of my arm and I awoke.

Tom, today I had a dream in wich I was flying from wall to wall, and I requested your father's name to be shown to me on the wall. The letters RPZ appeared, but it was kinda hard to read as they were very blurry. I requested again 'Please, show me the right name', still the letters remained the same, guess it means something.

In Portuguese we use 'rpz' in the chat rooms as a short for 'rapaz', wich means 'dude'.
Title: Who helps me explore the dreamworld?
Post by: Tombo on September 25, 2003, 03:30:19
Yes that was the first time I tried to find a name, maybe it was just luck? As with my fathers name, His real name is Walter but we all call him Finn. He's realy a very friendly kind of a person, guess you could say he's almost like a dude to me.
You know I think we should repete the experiment to see if we can find out some more. I play an instrument I don't think it's possible to find out by luck. Why don't you try to find out what I play? It's a string instrument.....
Do you have any similar thing that is unique that I could try to find out?
Your experiment with the dreamchrakter sounds pretty strange Isn't it strange that the face changed all the time? guess I have to try the trick, that it holds my arm, too.
As with other experiments I have 2 ideas, but I never tried it before:
1) Fly up in the sky as fare as one can go, One other guy said that he passed some bufferzones and passed different "levels" I wonder if we experience that too.
2)One person told me that I should dismiss the dreamimages and then I'll end up in the astral plane. I don't know what exactly he meant with "dismiss the dream images" He said I just shoudn't pay attention to them and then they'll disappair.
We could try the first one, Fly up in the sky.[:P]

Post by: AndrewTheSinger on September 25, 2003, 08:37:44
I don't think it was luck, I think your subconscious mind scanned for an answer and successfully presented it to you without much interference.

I can't help letting my conscious mind interfere with the process, for instance, now that you tell me you play a stringed instrument I start thinking to myself all stringed instruments that I know ... these thoughts will probably play some role in the dream when I request the answer.
I will look for it anyway.

I don't know, I'll think of something of mine that is unique and report back when I have it.

The face of the dream character changing all the time was strange indeed. I noticed it started to change when I began to prolong the dream by telling her to hold my arm. When I prolong my dreams I feel pain on my physical stomach, and some strange things start to happen in the dream.

One time I was sitting in a room watching tv in the dream. I stood there for awhile watching the dream tv shows. When I noticed I was about to awake I stood up, placed my left hand on the top of the tv and kept on staring at the screen. I took notice of my physical body and started to feel an incredible pain on my physical stomach as I insisted on staying there. I just wanted to read some word I could bring back to my waking life, just a word, but nothing, only images. I talked to myself, asking permission to stay there just to see a word, and I would get back when I had it. It felt like I was doing something really wrong, the pain increased and increased and in the dream, to my right side, something started to form, like plasm taking shape in the air. At that point I really thought someone was coming to tell me I would be unable to return, so I just decided to let it go and come back. I felt very dizzy when I woke up.

The experiments are cool... buffer zones in the sky? I've read the post but I've never experienced such a thing. When I can't see what's above I may get stuck in the flight, as if there was a wall in the sky (used to experience that alot as a child). At times I can manage to go very high, but when I get to a certain point I can't go further, like that's my limit for that dream even though I can clearly see far above. When I astral project it seems there is no limit as to where I can go, but my flight is usually very slow to get too far.

As far as I know the dreams also happen in the astral dimension but the scenery is all made up by our subconscious, thought-forms. Maybe if we stop paying attention to the images they would dissolve and then we would see the astral proper, I've never done that though, can't tell much. Something worth trying.

Wow, you seem to do some cool stuff in your LD. I'm also impressed with your ability to astral travel I'm  still working on that.

That dream with the TV really is a bit scary, that plasm thing sounds very interessting....but on the other side if it takes form to tell you that you just died or something that wouldn't be so cool.......on the other side I really wonder what would have happened if you just stayed in the dream. Well I guess pain is a sign that something is wrong, so I'm sure you did the right thing (stopping the dream I mean)

About the name ,I think it wasn't luck as well, but as you said my subconscious scanned for the answer. Although one name really isn't proof for anything.. I really think the main problem is the conscious mind interfering with the dream but maybe we find a way to reduce that. Don't know how though.

Btw: These experiments are a lot of fun! I hope we keep it up! I'll go for the bufferzones next.

Cool, I've had a few dreams these days but was too involved to remember the task. I'll write my request on a piece of paper again and read it when I have the chance, now looking for the instrument that you play.

I'm curious to know what will happen next time you fly into the sky.

Well I failed. I tried to fly in the sky. It didn't work to well and my eyes began to burn, so I decided to close them which was a bad Idea cause as I opened them I awoke.....
Maybe next time

Today I had a projection from a dream, I appeared in my room and looked for the piece of paper and again found alot of things written on it, most of the text I couldn't decypher. I requested the name of the stringed instrument that you play, and I only remember reading: tabasson, bongo.

Maybe I saw dulcimer somewhere lol. I'll choose bass, maybe one of those large classical basses.

Hmmm Bongo isn't that far off! 2 Letters are wrong though. Do you wanna try again? tabasson, bongo .............funny!
What you read, sounds like a child tring to pronounce the instrument in a way. I do think your subconscious tried to give you the answer but did not clearly came tru.

Been following this conversation for a while. Had an inspiration to see if I could get something. I saw a totally purpulish or blue field and some mountains. saw the numbers 5 and 2 a big sort of guitar but bigger and some names Marlase Preid Harter Fighter pretty wierd just lasted a few seconds.

Post by: Tombo on October 09, 2003, 04:15:53
Thats just crazy! Really awesome! Or did you guys just go to google and browse for tom bodenmann[8D]???? hehehe

To AndrewTheSinger: Exactly I play the Banjo! I was afraid you didn't even know the instrument. How did you get that so quick? very good! Ohh BTW I think we might do better if we ask for picures instead of words. That might be easier for the subconscious to get tru!

To Musterseed: How did you do that? The music I play is called Bluegrass music. It's origin is a area called the blueridge mountains.
It's called Bluegrass cause the meadows (fields) have a blue (purple) color in that area. The big guitar would be a bass then. The numbers I can not explain. Ohhh wait! we are 5 men and 2 woman in the band! thats just crazy! one band members name is Marlies (=> marlase!) one is Theo Hurter (=>Harter!)
Didn't you really cheat[;)]? Next time I choose something impossible to find out "illegal" [^] we'll see what you do with that!

Hey Tom,

At last I got onto your posting about experimenting in the dream world.

Well, as to me, I haven't tried much in the LD region, first I have to work on that to induce more LD. I had none for a long time.

As to me, usually I worked on dreams in general, trying to find when I have a premonitory one. There are some that I already know, since I have learn their symbolism, and there are others that I try to find out. And then there are the vivid ones, that are like flash. There are also those that come as if I was watching TV or reading the journal, and what I see there is actually the picture of the news of an event that will happen within a day or two.

That's why I was asking HyperD to check if he can find someone in the astral to tell him the future.

As to me, only once in a lucid dream I asked the stary night sky to reveal me the future, but it did not work, I only got for answer a sensation of fear engulfing me (well, I would have prefere a sensation of joy...).

So, we could try another kind of experiment where the time difference between LA SUISSE and the US could be used as follow.

We need one person who sleeps and who is dreaming toward the end of the night, toward the morning, since this the time when the dreams are best remembered. Then we need a person awake who will try to transmit a message to the sleeping person. For example the person awake is thinking of a large enveloppe and of a large piece of paper where a shape has been drawn with a given color. Then the person awake thinks about puting the paper in the envelop  and addressing the envelop to the sleeping person and then sending it. The sleeping person has only to dream about it, that all. Then the next morning one can check out what has happened.

Of course we can also write the name of the parents instead of coloring a geometrical shape....

I think the time difference between Switzerland and US (east coast) is 6 hour.
What do you think?
Title: Who helps me explore the dreamworld?
Post by: Tombo on October 23, 2003, 03:45:59
O.k. lets try that.So if I understood you right the person recieving the message doesn't have to have a LD but just a regular dream, right? time difference between Switzerland (La Suisse if you like although i'm living in the german part. actually my french is pretty bad!...)is 6 hours. so you could draw something and I see what happens. lets do it with a drawn figure. what about Sunday morning (swisstime)?
Title: Who helps me explore the dreamworld?
Post by: shaman on October 23, 2003, 07:54:41
OK, it sounds good.

If on Saturday evening here by 11pm, or midnight I concentrate on the envelop to send you... it will be around 5 or 6 am on Sunday in Switzerland and that should do it. At that time you should be sleeping but also "fresh" enough to remember whatever you dream.

Now, I will repeat that already tonight and Friday, to make it stronger on Saturday... and we'll see if you dream of any envelop... addressed to Tom Bodenmann in Switzerland.

The evening before (Saturday evening in Switzerland) try not to drink alcohol or to go to sleep too late, as this might make you more tired and you will have dificulties remembering your dreams.... So think about it if you prefer another day, or if Sunday morning is fine for you... then let's try.  I will draw a geometrical figure and color it...

Cheers!

Post by: Tombo on October 26, 2003, 02:40:25
It didn't work like planned. I didn't dream of any envelope with a geometrical figure. I recieved a envelope in one dream but it was a white one with a letter inside. can't remember exactly, what it said. I see two options now:
1) I try to figure it out in my next LD
2) You say, what it would have been, and we try again.
Title: Who helps me explore the dreamworld?
Post by: shaman on October 27, 2003, 07:47:24
I suspect these things do not work (and it is not my first experiement) because we really don't know each other. The only time it worked was with someone very close that I knew very well. So even if it "works" it is not very effective as it would be with someone close that you personnally know.

I will continue trying to send you the a geometrical picture in color, so I will not let you know what it is, and if you happen to dream of an envelop with a picture or whatever, then let me know. So I'll continue
to think about sending you the geometrical figure.

Cheers!

This experiments are great!. If LD are not only a reflection of ourselfs, if there we can handel with universal information, what implications could this have on our undestanding of the universe?

Can dream reallity really converge with our daily reality? Is real time projection real or we are travelling only in our memory and system of representation?

I would love to participate in this experiment, but I´m not so good being lucid in dreams. Too many reality fluctations in my last AP any way.

I read a book called "remote eye viewing", cool stuff about getting real info about places, people and objets. Many said telepathy of this kind is not really a travel to that place  but like an antena in wich we recieve info. Travel or psi-reception, ¿who knows?

Shaman: O.k. good, As soon as I got something I report back.

Ensoñador: Yeah I think like you these experiments are very interessting and have far reaching implications. It doesn't matter if you don't have that many LD I don't either. I'm still thinking about the difference between travel and psi-reception. Is there realy any at all?

Cheers Tom

My Idea is as follows. We agree on a certain question or task and next time we have a LD we perform it. After 2 weeks or so everybody describes his experience. This would give us a possibility to determine to what degree our experiences are personnel and to what degree they're universal. And It would be fun!
Who would participate?

For example: we could ask other dream charakters who they are, Wish to meet an angel, ask somebody whether there is a karmic law or not and so on......
