Title: Why do we dream about things that arent real
Post by: Jazzi on March 04, 2014, 22:37:21
Like things we didnt make.

Cartoons, things from the future that havent happened yet or we dont know about.
I dont mean visions.

I dreamed about cartoon characters I cant remember seeing. Well that wasnt the main focus.

Title: Define real. It is the experience whatever the context that FEELS real.

To my knowledge, I have not yet experienced any black and white dreams.
All of my dreams (that I am aware of) appear in colour.
The resolution varies somewhat.
Let's label the resolution that I typically enjoy in my current main focus physical reality, "medium" resolution.
From my experiences, the resolution in my dream states usually range from lower resolution to medium resolution.
Generally speaking, low resolution seems to be connected with poor recall of the dream experience.

Sometimes I experience higher resolution in my dream realities, such that I can zoom into the frame and perceive the individual hair strands on a person's hair,
or change my focus to experience from first person or third person perspective.
- I have experienced this zooming in and zooming out spontaneously a few years ago in my main focus physical reality; glitch in the matrix.
During dream states, when I experience third person perspective, I can direct my focus anywhere in the dream/reality frame; if lucid enough I could zoom in and zoom out.
It's like, where do I intend to focus my EYE/ I ? .. then I can perceive from that perspective.
Lucid dreams yield high resolution due to higher states of awareness and sensory engagement.
Out of Body Experiences and Phasing methods generally yield medium to higher resolution, with the most vivid engagement of the senses, and more senses.
The experience feels very REAL, often times the sense of taste is more acute than what I regularly experience in main focus physical reality.

I have experience an OOBE: CARTOON REALITY (http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/welcome_to_out_of_body_experiences/had_another_obe_this_morning_second_in_a_row_flew_for_the_first_time_d-t36170.0.html;msg298614#msg298614)
The awareness was high, but both the body that I experienced and the scene was rendered in a cartoon resolution, that is much less than 256 colour spectrum.
This experience gave me further insight that my dream/reality experience is composed of animation frames/video frames.
I had fun in my subsequent consciousness/ astral explorations playing with the images - a representation of my thought forms in mindscape
