Hey guys!  I haven't visited in awhile.  But, I will be hanging around more. :-D

Recently, (this is going to sound weird)  I woke up to the sound of a growl. I sat up in bed and reached over, thinking my dog was having a bad dream (and about to bite me in his sleep  :-o).  You guessed it... No dog in my room at all.  I turned on the light, nothing there..  I was a little startled, not scared really.  But, It was strange.  I got out of bed and walked around looking for anything that would've made such a noise.  Nothing. I tried 'feeling' for a presence, but got nothing.

I've had a lot of interesting moments waking up in the dark.  (it's that half sleep/wake thing)  Why on earth would something just want to growl at me until I woke up, and then take off?  Maybe it was banking on a fear snack... (i know some of you will 'get' that lol) Well, too bad..so sad.. I'm too jaded for that. LOL

Let me know what you guys think!

Goober

If you were half awake/half asleep then it was probably just a trance-induced hallucination, not necessarily having any meaning.

omg. something similar happened to me. but i wasn't asleep. i was just lying in bed listening to the radio and i heard that sound that the asian girl from "the grudge" makes coming from behind me. i rolled over really fast to see what it was and there was nothing there. not even a bug or a spirit. i was so freaked out. i don't want kayako to come kill me :(
im not really THAT psychic. i just like to pretend that i am. :)

Goober.. I know that some people feel that in sleep/wake moments when we experience abnormal things..we are hallucinating.

I don't totally agree with that.  It would make some of the things I've seen in this state a little easier to deal with.. Skeptically writing things off.  But, I don't have a problem being open to the idea that we are able to perceive paranormal activity more easily, while in a sleep/wake state.

Debating the validity of the experiences one has during this state, is a conversation worth having.  I think that science can coexist with paranormal experiences.

I'm not the type of person that thinks every bump in the night has a paranormal cause.  The fact is though, I have experienced some very interesting phenomenons here and there throughout my life.  So, I can't write things off too quickly either.

Just wanted to respond.

Looking at it from your perspective of paranormal activity, Could have possible been an Animal Spirit Guide protecting you, or the opposite (A neg) trying to attack you.

Maybe just a nudge to see if I'm still listening..
