Title: WILD help
Post by: holy reality on December 30, 2003, 17:20:23
create an object in the dream scene, take a hold of it, and pull pull pull till you end up in the dream.... don't let go no matter what and focus all your will and pulling yourself to the object

i.e. I imagine somewhere I want to go, imagine a good solid object is there, such as.... a umm.... pole... and grab hold of it (i mean LITERALLY reach out and grab it, because i'm in mind awake/body asleep and such) then I just keep pulling till I get there.

Thanks for the tip, I never really thought about it like that. I'm gonna give it a try in a little while. If it works, I'll be sure to thank you furtherly (is that a word??).

Hey lateralus897
Ive had many MILD's in the past but only one WILD and that was after waking up in the middle of the night and falling straight back into the dream so to speak.

I was wondering if you could possibly share your method to getting to the stage your at currently. The deepest meditation ive had in the past only helped me to get the odd very vivid image but this was brief and faded fast.

Do you sit up meditating or lay down? and how long does it normally take to get to the mind awake/body asleep state? also do you use any imagery when getting to the state or do you just clear your mind or something?

Sorry (and feel free not to answer)if the questions are too personal but the answers would really help :)..
Goodluck

The only real problem with that technique is that you have to be REALLY out of it... like... super heavy trance, at least, in my experience...

However for WILD's it works great and sometimes I'll be aware of my body and not think I'm paralyzed but somehow with some imagination I can find that I am reaching back into the dream for something to hold onto and pull me in, or for someone, usually someone becuase I'm lazy and it's easier to have them do all the work.

But... I reread your post lateralus987 and I know what you mean about all of a sudden becoming aware of your body and zapping back in.. it means your body/mind aren't in a deep enough state of sleep yet... I'd stay in the trance a bit longer... and if you're trancing after you've already had what your body considers to be "enough" sleep you're going to have that problem a lot more....

Hitting it while still within the gap of your normal sleeping hours is the best, if you've slept in a bit it might not work well, and if you do it too early it might not work well... it needs to synch up with your normal REM patterns I think to be most effective.

Now if you can hit the trance during the day I really can't help you much there, because I haven't done that yet...

I almost made it last night before going to sleep but it turned out it was just a psychological paralysis... I had almost fallen asleep and woke up into brief spine vibrations and then later on felt real heavy, but I guess the heaviness was imagination because I could move just fine.

I was probably close though.

one other tip:

*don't follow weird looking people that you might see walking around inside your head... if you created them it's okay but if you're not sure where they came from and you hadn't just dreamed about them I wouldn't advise it based upon my experience (in psychi self defense if you want to read it)

Alright, so lately I've been getting very close to either projection or having a WILD. I've made a few posts about helping me with projecting, but I havent gotten responses, so I'll try this. I can get a good mind awake/body asleep state going, and I get really vivid imagery and such. The "entering into the dream scene" part is what gets me. I can only get it so far, until I realize I have a physical body and I get zapped back in. Is there a trick to going in? I think I might be thinking too much, but when I let go of concentration, I lose control. What do YOU think?
