I have assembled a few methods for promoting the improvement of auric sight for anyone interested. These methods work by intensifying the after-image that can be retained in your minds eye.
Candle flame image
Sit at eye level from a comfortable distance away from a candle. Concentrate on the flame intently but do not strain your eyes. Do this for at least half a minute. Close your eyes and capture the after-image of the flame. Aim to keep it in focus. It may be easier to do this in the evening or with the lights dimmed. Once you capture the after-image you will notice that it dissolves quite rapidly. If you continue practicing this you will be able to retain the image for a longer period of time.
Object image
Make sure the room is as dark as possible while still being able to see what you are doing. Concentrate on an object (even though you can only just see it) for a few seconds. Position a camera above and to the side of the object. Put the camera on timer so that it goes off while your perception is fixed on the object. Exactly at the moment when the flash goes off close your eyes and make an attempt to see the after image of the object. If this is done correctly you should be able to see the object and everything around it just as if your eyes were open, but it takes practice to get this right.
Object image (eyes open)
This method may only be effective after you complete the previous visualization successfully. Sit close to a light such as a bedside lamp. Ensure that it is the only light on in the room. When I experimented with this I used a touch light on the dimmest light settings. Bring your focus to the light and concentrate on it. You do not have to concentrate directly on the bulb. Turn the light off after about a minute without shifting your perception. If you retain your perception correctly the light and some area around it will materialize into your line of vision for a few seconds even though the room is totally dark and nothing would normally be seen.
Continuing these methods to do them more effectively and retain the after image for longer has improved how well I can see auras and visualize in general.
