In the end, it's using your Intent to affect a desired result.

not sure if true but i took a reiki class and she showed a photograph of someones aura before and after. the after was stronger BUT the man that was doing reiki forgot to "rid" the reiki by swiping his hands or shaking "it" off. He had his hands on the "someones" shoulder and in that spot it was weak because he was still "plugged" in.

So yes according to the class, be sure to swipe and shake your arms after your done!
