Charkas away from the body?

I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of chakras being away from the body.

The area I am thinking of is behind, one each side of the head/neck, about a foot away from the body.

It seems like a ball, smaller then a football made of white glass that shines. They feel very dense and do not seem in anyway similar to my main body chakras.

there are actually more chakras that often go unnoticed, by westerners especially, above the head, below the feet and in-between the 7 commonly known chakras.  they have fun names too, like the "soul-star chakra". 

i have talked to healers and energy workers (as well as having seen these features myself a time or two) that say the chakras are like tubes that run perpendicular through the body.  they start a couple feet in front and move through the traditional location of the chakra on the body and extend a few feet behind you.  they could just be seeing the energy radiated from the chakra on the body though.  i can't really say for sure.

After what U said I looked up info on these other chakras and fund a great website on how to open them and how they affect you. I went through them all and found some relevant ones to my current problems. Time will tell.

Aparently there is one 4 finger widths above you head that controls the human and divine engeries so they can be understood and worked with.

Hi.  I don't read much about this stuff, but I feel my chakras rather strongly.  For me, I feel that Chakras extend from the body front and back (such as, e.g., the heart chakra).  So, feelign something about a foot behind you makes sense.  Also, I can feel another chakra which seems about 1+ feet above the head, and perhaps some more higher.  I don't pay so much attention to that though.  Anyway, that is how it feels to me.

I've definitely experienced a number of energy spots outside the body. the closest ones to what you describe, are for me, somewhere around about 3-4 feet behind the left and right shoulder blades.

I never felt any chakras outside the body yet. I'm working on it.

All I can say is that I read in books that there are 7 that are lower than the root and there are 7 more that are higher than the crown.

The lower 7 have served their purpose, they were active when you were going through the evolution from mineral to animal form. Human root corresponds to animal crown. (that is they are developed to that extent only, except may be for a snake and a cow). Its not so cut and dried though, its more like a continuum of activity which diminishes as we go higher in chakra scale. There can be a particular animal individual who transcends its crown and this results in a human form (birth).

There are some people who can feel them and can descend down by activating them to re-experience the animal existence. However, its a matter of common sense that this is dangerous and should not be done for fun.

Humans have the well known 7. Our crown becomes the root chakra for our next evolutionary stage, which is of a demi-god (Devas is Sanskrit). They have much finer bodies, just like an astral body or light body, and they are very much like us but superior in all respects. You can get an idea of the difference when you compare an intelligent and good-looking human to a chimp, that are just one step below us. In higher body we will go through the next 7 chakras to progress even higher.

Some people who have advanced in their spiritual practice ( must be in millions now) can feel the one above the crown. It pulsates when you attend to it or you can feel it with charged hands as a sensation. Some rare people can see it. Activity there usually means that your days as a human are almost over, and your next birth will be in a superior body in a superior world.

Please take all this info with a grain of salt. Its a great source of motivation but I have no way to prove its truth.

Very interesting info you guys posted here. It might be a silly question, but are those "other" chakras infrared and ultraviolet or do they work by a totally different system?

I often wondered if we should be working on these top 7 - as we are residing 'within' the current 7 does that mean they are already open and do we need to open the next 7 above so we can move into them?
