Hmm well a couple of weeks ago I was just like that. I had not much motivation in NEW or any energy work at all. But after I had a spark of inspiration from my girlfriend I decided to work harder. I also found that some awareness movements didn't seem to be working very well. For example, I had to stir my finger in mid air and visualise my awareness hands stirring the area at the same speed as my finger. Sometimes I did a similar thing with the brushing.

This is, as far as I'm aware, perfectly normal. You're getting used to body awareness movements and are still used to visualisation so you use on to help the other. Eventually your body awareness alone will be able to do anything you want it to. Also, your energy body needs to be able to adjust and become more awareness-sensitive. Robert Bruce, although a great and experienced author and mystic, has contradicted himself in the writing of NEW Energy Ways.

Bruce says that it recquires no visualisation, when in truth, using your awareness hands is always to some extent visualisation. The Etheric Wrap technique is also involving visualisation. But I guess that's a little off topic and doesn't really matter because you're using the sense of touch anyhow.

Anyways, just keep at it. Try to wean yourself off the rest of your body moving during awareness excercises and spend a little more time doing EVERY step of the leg and arm developments. Spend at least a week working on those both areas, more if you like, and you should be able to use body awareness nicely, and your arms and legs should be nicely sensitised. Well, at least it's like that for me!

le_mirage,   i  had  that  same problem,   as i  was  using  tactile imaging (t.i)   it  gradually  slipped into a visualisation and  all  tactile sensations  ceased.

i  realised  this  was because  my  awareness in  targeting  my  body parts  was not  very developed.
So i went back  and  learned  mobile  body  awareness (m.b.a.) which  i  think  should  be  learned  before  you actually  try  the  t.i.  tecniques.

so,  my  advice  would  be  to  practise  m.b.a.  until  you  can easily  target parts of  your  body,   besides,   with m.b.a.  i think there is   visualisation involved.

if  you havent read astral dynamics  m.b.a.  is   highlighting  different parts of  your  body so  the majority of  your  awareness is  crammed  into  that  part.

In NEW The Bounce Technique made the body awareness seem easy to me.  This also made it easy to send perception to any part of the body.
The first time I tried the Bounce from head to toe I could feal the  energy awarness in each part of the body after I did  it [^]a few times I felt the movement start to resist me moving it from my head to my feet.

Hello everyone...

I have started to use the NEW some months ago, starting with the preliminar stimulation in hands and feet. But, cause i tend to lose
motivation very fast in my things, i have leave it and re-take it many times before today. Now, i'am trying to make some exercises every day, without think immediatly about the results (one of the most common error of the newbie). I think i'am going good, but i got some problems and i wish some suggestion for you.
On the first place, i'am not able to feel better the whole (the inner part) of my libs when i "sponge" them to raise energy. I got a lot of sensation that suggest me that the stimulation is good, but i'am not able to feel better any part of my body and the energy stream in it, if already present. On the other side, i feel a lot of sensation in my legs and foot, and even in the Sub-navel system, that i begin to fill, even if i'am not so sure if they are the "right" sensations.
More, because of this i cannot rely on tactile sensation and i always need to visualize my hands raising energy into the legs even if my legs are not "perfectly" where i suppose they are. It is the same with all the tactile actions required, plus the fact that sometimes i found myself moving slightly my head (my mouth o my chin, for example) to simulate the movement of my awareness during, for example, the brushing action. I think that doing this way is wrong, even if it looks like i'am able to raise some energy anyway.
I hope that, with practice, i will be able to control better my awareness and my body. You got any suggestions for me regarding this problem?
