Title: Anxiety

Anxiety has been a topic of interest for me for quite a while. How do you all think anxiety (in the form of increased heart rate, fear of doom, sweating, etc.) relates to the energy body?

Could it be caused by the presence of a negative energy or is it more likely self manifested?

 It's self manifested. The sky is always blue even on a cloudy day. If you peel back the clouds the blue sky is always there. We are pure at the level of our soul. It is our teachings and the way we identify and react to life that taints us!

I agree with this. I also know that this can be overcome with practice, and you can begin to choose what energies around you to take in and which to not let have much effect. It takes a strong will and time and practice.

I'm an extremely empathetic person, and I think that's where my anxiety is manifesting from.

Could you guys offer suggestions on how to become selective when it comes to energy? How to recognize different energies (negative positive)?

For me it was about daily meditation where I would focus on 1 thing of my choosing and do my best not to let any other thoughts intrude. Maybe start at 5 minutes a day and move up.

After lots of practice, it gets easier and easier to where you realize that even during your daily life, you're much more in control of what thoughts enter your mind. And when you can control your thinking, it also extends to your feelings and will. Then you can identify the energies that bring you down before they do and choose to not let them interfere with your chosen state of mind. Of course some situations are much more difficult than others and unavoidable, like dealing with someone you live with.

Sufferring and happines are not seperate from each other. Anger, fear, anxiety, regret, unhappiness, jealousy which goes together with unpleasent feelings can be used as object of the meditation. With this way people can not only overcome the unhappiness but also can connect to God/Jesus/Buda/Concsioussness/Allah exc.. exc as well  :-o

 Try "Access Consciousness". When you fell energy or an emotion, even pain that's not yours say to yourself "I return this back to the owner with 100% Conscious Awareness attached". You will see you are instantly relieved of the problem, that's if the problem wasn't your own to begin with.
