Hi, I am having trouble with awareness on my legs, mostly the whole limb sponging actions. I find this to be much more difficult than feet and hands which I could do effortlessly without needing to even practice.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hello!

I guess the best thing you can do is this(this is what I do):
1. Just lie down and relax a bit
2. Imagine that roots start to grow from your feet and into the ground, imagine them as being green and full of life, feel as they grow and go into the earth
3. Imagine that they grow so deep and arrive in the center of the earth where they find a giant ball of positive light
4. Imagine that all the roots get glued to the energy ball and then imagine that light starts to fill the roots all the way up to your legs...now while doing this also imagine that your astral pair of hands go along inside the ball of energy and get filled with energy.
5. When they get all the way up imagine that you start to get filled with a lot of energy, try to feel this as much as you can and also feel your astral hands moving through your legs and expanding the energy all over...
I guess that should work pretty well...try it!
Also when I said imagine(sorry about repeating it a lot :P ) also feel these things.

I actually have quite a hard time visualising such things as was recommended above.  I really like the whole idea of imaging "awareness hands" because its not something I picture, its something I feel.

It makes it quite easy to feel the energy without needing to look with my eyes.

It worked pretty well thanks for sharing it, I managed to use it to get used to slowly moving my awareness both ways through my legs.

However I have run into another problem when it comes to bouncing... my awareness just seems to disappear if I try moving it quickly :/

laiana: hmm...yes like I said you don't have to see everything, as long as you feel it!...feeling is one of the most important things in this technique, did I forget to mention that?...darn :/


Faceless:Well, lol don't move it too quickly, try to see what is the natural speed. I have found that awerness usualy goes away if your mind is not concentrated enough, I mean you have to have focus on what you are doing at that time...just practice a little. ^_^ ...it'll work eventualy

I just thought of this and it seems to work pretty well.  I'm a computer technician so I had one of those cans of compressed air that is used to blow dust out off of computer components.  It has a straw in the nozzle which allows for a very narrow stream of air.  By blowing this air on your skin your can create a very precise and deep sensation that should faciliate memorization and then you could follow that up by pretending you're spraying the air onto your skin.  That works better for me that scratching with a fingernail or pen.  

For the sponging action I found two techniques that seem to work well for me.  For the first I image I am holding a pulsing sphere of energy and when I push it into my foot (for example) I feel the energy tingling very deeply.  The I pull the sphere up through my leg.  The other image I found to work is this:  imaging you have a soaked sponge tied to a string.  Now imaging your leg is hollow inside like PVC pipe.  The wet sponge *barely* fits in the PVC pipe.  It's a tight fit and as you pull the string you are threading the sponge up through the pipe that is the interior of your leg (arm, etc).  These techniques give me pretty good sensations.  

Another thing I like doing is combining this (and also the progressive muscle relaxation) with autogenics for a double wammy.  In other words, as I *feel* and *imagine* the sponge being pulled up the inside of my leg I say silently to myself:  "the energy is rising through my legs"..."I feel the energy activating my energy centers"...."my legs are throbbing with energy"...etc, etc.

Please let me know how these techniques work for you if you try them out.

Can anyone please tell me if its still ok to raise energy (only in the sub navel centre) while doing the first part of NEW?

I dont plan to activate the major chakras, but I would still like to do some energy raising before bed.

I am still working on the techniques for feet, legs, arms, hands.
