Sure. If you can time your breathing in some way with the pace of your steps, that will help. You can also visualize / imagine that your energy is making your body lighter. Looking up at about 45 degrees above horizontal, if you can. Focus your gaze on a single point. Try to relax if you can. Anything that would induce a trance state. Try repeating a mantra with your steps. Naturally, you don't have to do all of these things. Just see what works best for you.

Hi, I'm in high school and I'm a part of the track team. I mainly run mid-distance (800's, etc.) and some shorter runs but I'm not the greatist. I guess I am ok; I'm probably pretty average but I'd like to get a little better. I would think that I could somehow use energy to help me out so my legs don't get as tired or my breathing doesn't get too out of control. Is this possible? and if so, how do i go about it? I would think maybe just running and full body circuit and charging my body full of energy before a run? I'm not sure
