Well, i've heard a lot of opening your "Chakras" or something like that, in refrence to energy development and such. What does this mean, and how do i go about doing it. haha

Hi fthmdg-

There are many different schools of belief on chakras, but I think most agree that there are seven major ones. They are energy centers that control the flux of energy between the physical and non-physical bodies. Each chakra has a specific purpose related to location in the physical body. In general, most say the lower chakra or "root chakra" is located between the anus and genitals, the next is a few inches below the navel, the 3rd at the solar plexus, 4th is at the heart, 5th is at the throat, 6th is at the brow or "3rd eye", and 7th is at the crown of the head.

Chakras are always naturally active, but by doing energy work, you can increase the flow and storage. However, it's generally recommended to start slow and keep everything in balance. If you're interested, you might want to look into something like "NEW" energy techniques, which focus on minor energy centers before working on the major ones.

I hope this helped.

prolly this has been asked too many times...

i try NEW...but with the massive amount of stuff on creative color visualization and mantras and mandala and med i am confused...

which one is the most effective one???

jalef

the most effective is the one that works best for you. there are different systems becaue there are different people, some are quite happy with visualization, other cant do it at all and have to use other techniques. in the end the effect is the same.

I agree with jalef in that it's what works best for you. If you can visualize well, you might want to go that direction. If not, NEW might be good because it focuses on tactile sensations instead of visualization.
