Fenris

Hi Jasonlamb

Your on the right track, when your mind and thoughts move into the depressive state every other system is also changed. We know that depression and stress adversely affect the physiology of our bodies, and as you know your aura and energy system is also affected. Once this happens there is a change in how others perceive you, and how you see them, this is always going to affect your environment. So at the simplest level this is how your depressed state of mind makes for an environment that as you put it responds negatively towards you.

On another level the law of attraction holds true, like draws to like. Negative entities are drawn to you, and if you don't take steps to protect yourself this will lead to your life being steered into even worse situations and perhaps your self image being lowered further. The human mind has a fantastic potential to change its perceived environment and sometimes this can work against us.

As far as protection against negative influences goes you might like to place your post in the psychic self defense section of this forum, there are many ways to go about this, and if you have a look through Robert's articles you will find things that will help you. Also Nita one of the forum moderators would be a great person to email for advice, or even to direct her attention to this thread, she is very clever egg (look in the 'the team' section).

And never fall into the trap of thinking that manic depression being caused by chemical imbalance makes it impossible to change your situation. As a child I was diagnosed with ADD and I was a very violent borderline psychopathic person, and I also have always had a mood disorder. I am now a very calm, social  and gentle person, and I am doing very well at university. I still go through stages of depression, and if you know what Fenris is then you might pick up that I can have a guilty attraction to the darker side of things, but I am more reliant on a negative stimulus than I used to be. And my world doesn't crash down like it used to. The more I grow spiritually the less it affects me basically. So the answer to your question of if you can change you energy to give you more positive outcomes in life is a nice big YES. As for how to do this there are just so many paths to take, by making your energy system stronger you become more resistant to negative influences. Look into what appeals to you and improves concentration, your energy system, your strength of will and also meditate frequently. Please post back with all of your questions relating to this.

If you get into a routine of energy and spiritual growth you might find that when you hit a low you lose interest, this is to be expected. In the depressed state you might find (from my experience) that you know deep down you can help yourself by continuing on with your spiritual work – but you feel you should avoid things that make you feel better. Once you can overcome that urge to avoid things that make you feel better you have the upper hand. Does that make any sense?

Anyways I hope I have put something in this post that helps you out, please post with anything you have on your mind.

Best regards

David

Thanks so much for replying to my post. I am open to any suggestions that I should take in turning things around. I guess I take a genuine holistic view in that I believe I should treat both the physical and the spiritual and see that they two are affected by the other. Whatever you think will protect me from these negative forces and help start creating positive change is what I am looking for. Where should I start?

Just to add to what Fenris said relating to chemicals and your current situation, I agree totally with him. I've seen a few people who believe that they have this disease of chemical imbalances and that's the way it is. You can't change it. Like Fenris said, you can fall into that trap. But, they're wrong. You can change the chemical balances in your brain by thoughts and awareness. The problem I see with mental health as a science is that they fail to recognize the power of the mind. Drugs for this, drugs for that. That's fine and dandy until they get off of them. Oh, improving your thoughts and awareness can do so much for your mental health. Very often your perception can determine your reality.

Opps. Sorry for rambling on but I just love it when people can see the power of the mind on health. Fenris gave you some good advice there. I don't know much about the psychic self-defense, but I think meditation is a great start. Also, having a place that is good and holy to reflect at is great. I reserve a chair in my room strictly for religous practices.

I ordered Robert Bruce's book PPSD, are there specific things in there that I should do or what actions would you suggest that I take to help create a more positive energy field around me? I'm not asking for a cure to my health problem or a better perspective. I'm looking to make the negative energy that I am somehow emitting to be positive so I don't keep having all this weird stuff constantly happening to me. I think some people in the post I made thought I was looking for a cure to my ailment when I was specifically focusing in on the negative/positive energy issue. But thank you for what you have already said.. I am still eager to hear what you have to say.

Bi-Polar Disorder and Aura Questions

I am brand new to this web site and have briefly heard some of Robert Bruce's interviews and am interested in what he has to say. I was wondering if you could help me answer some questions and give me your feedback.

I know for a fact that people with chemical inbalances in their brain have different metaphysical/psychic experiences. One of my closest friends works as a night watch at a mental hospital and has encountered patients with ESP and other powers. He's had his own thoughts read and has said it is a scary experience. He said they have to give them medications to deal with the abilities as they tend to be more disruptive and disturb the patients. Something psychiatrist's generally don't talk about I guess.

Well I myself have a bi-polar disorder. For those who are unaware of what this horrible vice is it basically is cycling of the brains neurotransmitters from very high peaks to low valleys, creating a see-saw emotional and mental state from mania to depression, hence the term "manic-depressive".  I have personally experienced something that I need advice on how to handle: when my body cycles into the more depressed states I immediately begin to experience strange negative things on all levels. It's not just my mind that's down it seems as if my whole world begins to respond very negatively towards me. So many things out of the blue take place that are bad, and when I try to venture out and do things they almost always go wrong. It's like this black cloud follows me. And it is not just some perception based upon my emotional state, I could fill this page up with examples of how everything turns on its heel and goes the opposite direction.

Here's my hypothesis (from a very premature metaphysical understanding): when my body cycles into this negative state something happens to my metaphysical person/aura/whatever which in turns affects everything it comes in contact with. How does this sound? What can I do to genuinely change this? Is it possible to change my "energy" (for lack of a better term) into something that creates positive outcomes? Is there anything like this mentioned that could help my in RB's books? This black cloud is stealing so much of my life and I'm hoping to find help.

Thanks!
