Hm, what kind of energy work you did exactly before?

Well I certainly can confirm that my dreams get more intense when doing energy work. I also do have more nightmares then normally. Possible explanation could ne that some of our mental blockades, fears are worked at in the dream enviroment, but that's only a guess.

Maybe it is also related to which Chakra one stimulates? For example last night a stimulated the Chakra at the throat and I did have 2 nightmares this night. I'll stimulate each Chakra for one evening and see what happens.

BTW: When You manage to get lucid during the nightmare you can easily overcome them.

When you start stimulating your Chakras they can bring issues to the surface, some you may not even be aware of. So your nightmares make perfect sense. It is these issues manifesting in your dreams. It would be good for your development to explore these nightmares to discover any issues and fears you have and over come them. Look at this as a chance to grow.

I understand you, TheAlphaOmega! I am in a similar situation: Nightmares bother me after I started working on NEW and trying some AP. At the moment I am working with my secondary centres: Toes and Fingers, and rarely primary.
I would appreciate any help to overcome that. thx

Fallenangel is completely correct here.

When you start stimulating the chakras you bring the 'karmas'
that reside in each chakra to the surface. So if you have
traumas or repressed emotions these usually come to the surface.

According to one ashram's kundalini tantra book it is not
that unusual to have explosive episodes of emotions after
you start directly stimulating the chakras. This is only
a sign of the repressed emotions coming to the surface.
So there is a reason why they spend a month on each chakra
beginning from the root. (Though 3rd eye needs to be activated
first to be able to get the intuition behind the explosions)

So this is normal and only temporary, thought it might be
good to take a break from the stimulation and reflect over the
nightmares that comes. Most people tend to think nightmares
as evil&bad things. I think them more as a good tension release
for your mind.

Well, nightmares for me actually worsen the tension, unfortunately [V] But I understand, MysticCloud. How long does it normally take for them to disappear? Although I don't really want to stop these exersizes, I like them, I feel a development. Strangly though, I only feel the sideeffects at the moment :-\

Same for me...

Another explanation is that, by doing energy work, you become more interesting/"shinny"/"yummy" to the astral wildlife...

Not sure but I think I remember reading Robert Bruce saying that you should always close your chakras when you're done with the work, to avoid attracting bad things...

I suppose there are 2 kinds of nightmares. Those made by the astral
entities and those that are subconscious tensions. If you have alot
of nightmares you could try building a dreamcatcher or just put a
quartz crystal underneath your pillow.

Oh my God... The thought of some furry critters hanging on me really freaks me out!
Can these things also stick to secondary energy centeres (located at toes, fingers, legs)? Because I have no clue how to "close" them. In NEW tutorial is only explained how to "activate" them.
Thanx 4 help :-)

Personally I don't belive the opening&closing thing.
They are all functioning at some level all the time or
else the body would not work.

Every person has got natural defences anyway that needs
to be broken through before they can interact directly on
you. You can also strenghten this defence by will.

The more quiet and peaceful mind the less the chance of getting
any kind of attack. Since if you do not react on anything emotionally,
they will have nothing to feed on.

Strange things have been happening while I sleep the last few weeks.  In the beginning as I drifted to sleep I would concentrate specifically I staying concious.  Though I would fall asleep anyways, I would have amazing lucid dreams... sometimes 3 or 4 in a night.  I wanted to see if I could change these into OBE's.  I am familiar with energy work and it has brought some level of success in the past, so as I drift to sleep now I stimulate my chakras.  But this has been causing me to have the worst nightmares of my life.  I never used to have nightmares much at all, but since the energy work and chakra stimulation has been introduced they have been horrific, ie- plane crashes with my entire family and baby brother in which I am the only survivor, watching my dogs head get bit off by an even bigger dog, etc.  The past couple of days I've stopped all energy work and concentration methods in order to try to simply get a good nights rest.  But the nightmares continue.  Has anything like this happened to anyone before?  Does anyone have any ideas on something I can do to have pleasant dreams?
