Hey All...
I've been undertaking Base chakra work lately, and I've been periodically shopping about for exercises and what not.
In my searches I have come across two distinct versions of the Base chakra. I've found pictures/descriptions of it as a chakra that flowers/faces downward into the earth. And I've found pictures/descriptions of it as a "double funnel" structure, one funnel opening foward from the body and one one funnel opening backwards of the body--like the gential center, the navel/SP centers, the heart center, the throat center and the brow center.
Feeling and experimenting on my own Base chakra, I have success stimulating as if it were a single funnel opening downward, AND it gets stimulated (heats up, spins, etc.) when I stimulate it as if it were a double funnel facing forward and backward.
When I've seen the energy of the chakras, it's only been in blobs of color--not in detailed lines or structure--and what I've seen is blobs of bright color. I didn't really discern it swirling in one way or another.
I feel like I'm getting stuck in my analyzer over it, and heck, I'm having success stimulating it either way.
But I am beginning to wonder if there are TWO TYPES of people--one with downward-facing Base centers, and others with Base centers that are "double" and face front and back.
I've seen both depictions on webpages and in books, both reputed to be written by skilled clairvoyants. I would say, in general, I have encountered the downward-facing Base center more often though.
I also feel, that since I'm undertaking specific Base center work, that I'd like to be interacting with my own energy system "correctly."
The mixed number or positioning of the chakras, from different sources, doesn't bother me. I've always been able to clearly sense and feel my other chakras--but I seem to be stuck on the Base center, and unable to clearly feel the Base center.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
