There has been research on dolphins which is quite interesting. Among other impressive qualities, they have been assessed as being rather intelligent.

i really think that it varies from dolphin to dolphin- just like people... and rats.
hmm interesting lol but i think all dolphins can do it just some better than others :p cause they can tell whether you have a lot of energy and ur hyper and such or if ur sad and tired... so that couldnt be somewhat related to energy and stuff too right?
most animals (including humans) can tell those things. maybe they are more sensitive to the non material because of their reliance on an abstract sense such as echolocation. maybe they are more psychic. i think that eventually there should be some sort of formal research into it- to dispel the negative mysticism surrounding them.
yeah i wanna go into dolphin research and training when im older so maybe then we could start looking into that :p

Think of what it must be like for dolphins if they could sense energy, and OBE.
First of all they pretty much fly in the water, so that would be very similar. Being able to sense energy would mean they would probably be sensitive to ley lines, ghost fish, and empathic to the impressions of death that surround shipwrecks, not to mention that they may communicate with each other telepathically.
When they go to sleep and OBE there would be a curious inversion. Their sleeping life would be much like their waking life, except freeer. They would never have to surface to breath, they would fly up and out of the water, and no doubt frolic with the angels or other more playful spirits. Who knows which world they look forward to being in more?

heh yeah-- the only thing though is the person at the place said dolphins dont actually sleep because they would sufficate... they like, turn one side of their brain off kinda while the other side is on.. thatd be so strange having half an OBE and still being awake and swimming about too.. lol

i recently just went to the place where you can swim with the dolphins and the trainer was telling us how the dolphins can see pretty much anything with ecolocation (like they could see your heart beating, or blood flowing through your body..etc.. a little gross but still cool) and i was thinking..do you think dolphins can see the energy flow and chakras and such too?
