Energy Healing

The usual procedure seems to be to add energy to whatever needs to be healed in the hope that the natural healing processes will do their own thing. The usual assumption is that what is needed is more energy. The more you know about natural healing processes such as how cuts and burns heal and how the immune system responds to diseases, the more specific you can be in adding energy. This often means that less energy has to be added for better results because less is wasted on places where it is not needed.

Read the book, "A touch of Hope" by Dean Kraft.  He's one of the only hands on healers that has subjected himself to scientific testing with proven abilities.  You will find as you practice your own meditation techniques that healing and effecting physical changes is directly proportional to energy and focus.  Building up high amounts of energy is important.  Directing the energy is important.  However, if you do not have sufficient focus, the likelihood of a physical change or healing is small.  I am not an expert at healing.  In fact I am just learning how to do it now... at least in this lifetime... but in my experience with meditation, application of qi in martial arts, as well as several books by proven healers, all indicate the necesity of an ability to focus intently on healing.

There will be some of you who will say focus is not necessary at all and there are persons who can just lay there hands on others and heal them without even thinking about it.  This may be true, but this is an exception, not a rule.  Also, I believe the reason that those persons can do this is because they have already built up such an ability to direct energy from previous lives or incarnations that it is second nature to them now.  For example, take a person who has never bench pressed more than 200lbs before.  If he wants to max out at 2100lbs or 220lbs, he will need to focus intently on lifting the weight and it will be a great struggle.  Yet a person who regularly benches 270lbs will easily lift the 220lbs without a second thought.  We are literally talking about strength of mind here.  A person with great strength of mind will be able to accomplish great things and say it was easy and required little or no focus.  Those with weaker strengths of mind and focus will need to focus harder to strengthen their abilities.  We all have varying levels of experience and strength of mind and focus.  I do not believe there is a shortcut.  If you find one, please let me know.  So far however, I have only gotten results myself from strenghening my ability to focus.  Do not clear the mind, FOCUS it.

My own experience bears out your thesis Chris.  The difficulty for me is raising enough energy on demand to get the job done.  Then once energy starts flowing, I only get results if I can maintain unwavering focus on the area of the body to heal. Then it becomes a visualization/intent meditation where the mantra/mental concept is "healing".  I know this probably sounds kind of lame, but I have acheived unbelievable results with it.

Chris

It doesn't sound lame to me at all.  I also do not doubt the results you have had when you are truly focussed.   Don't be discouraged by the intense effort it takes to produce such results however.  As you maintain a regular routine of practice, it will become easier and easier.  You will also notice leaps in your progress, as well as plateaus.  My own abilities seem to grow in this way and those of others I've known as well.  Rather than trying to lift the big weight everytime (figuratively), I hope you are practicing with lower weights on a regular basis.  that would be akin to just daily meditation that doesn't take a large strain on you.

So far, I haven't figured out how to maintain a completely open chanel of energy when I heal or do OBE, so I usually end up exhausted or getting sick myself afterward if I do it too much.  There have only been a couple of times when I've helped heal a friend via distance without getting drained myself.  One time  I was meditating/ focussing on doing it and it just sort of clicked and I felt a rush of energy... I felt myself enveloped in a white light... so  I directed it at her for about 2 hours.  I didn't tell her I had done it until the next day when she told me that bingo! she went from a fullblown flue to absolutely no symptoms over night.  I was elated.  Also, instead of being drained myself I was energized after the experience.  So, I KNOW that it can be done.  I'm just still riding the bike with training wheels trying to figure out how I stayed up without them last time I rode it.  I'm motivated to find that click again... or that "feel" for it.  I believe that once you tap into that energy and get it flowing through you that with the appropriate focus once could accomplish just about anything.  So, anyway, keep it up and keep us all informed of your progress and any clues you encounter along the way as well.

I have become interested in energy healing. Can anyone point me to some books or websites that are a good source for this subject? Thanks.

Alice had got so much into the way of expecting nothing but out-of-the-way things to happen, that it seemed quite dull and stupid for life to go on in the common way.
