I have observed this weird, quick glitter of light right after I close my eyes for energy work. Is it my third eye's production and consumption of energy, observable by my being? I know it's not normal light production, because it's not redish nor in front of my black space, but it's very quick, white, and like a flash. I also have a downwards peripheral vision constantly when working with energy, and everything looks slightly lighter and more colorful. I don't know if it's just that I'm actually seeing things through my barely closed eyes, but it seems different.
I don't know what the first one is (I get it also) but the second one is an artifact of the eye- pressure on the lid causes the optic nerve to light up. It's physical, but it can be used to meditate, as a point of focus. Try to keep your attention on it, try to manipulate how it moves and how it fades. Try to get it back, it's something to do while you meditate.
As a demonstration of what I just explained, close your eyes in the dark, and wait 'til things settle. Then gently press around your orbital ridge* picking different places at the top and then at the bottom. You will see places in your sight light up, usually at the opposite of the place you pressed (you'll see the bottom light up when you press the top, etc.)
