Guide: Meditation on the Chakras

Written by Alex D (Me)

This is a meditation I have applied successfully that you may find useful. It is devised from a combination of information I have ascertained and revised from different places and effective techniques I have learnt myself. I am not very advanced in energy work so I cannot be sure whether or not it will be beneficial for everyone but in my experience it can be very effective. It is also extremely easy to do and at the least you will benefit from fast relaxation.

You will find that it may take some time to read through the entire guide but once you have read it you will not have to re-read it. The actual process itself is systematic but requires minimum effort on concentrating on what you are doing (ie. the steps themselves). It is after all a meditation.

On the energy side of things this practice will promptly relax your body and mind. This chakra meditation is often enjoyable and is unlike other meditations that can be at first tedious to achieve. Attaining a calm state of mind is essential as it naturally becomes easier to practice any other number of objects following the meditation, including but not limited to:
- Astral Projection
- Remote Viewing
- Trance State
- Meditation/Reflection
- Sleep
- Any other form of meditation

On the spiritual side of things the practice is complementary to self-reflection and systematic introspection. It presents an opportunity to examine directly each of the main chakras and their corresponding elements. It allows you to observe which chakras are active and which are sedentary in your every day life events. The meditation can be used to supplement any retrospection or self observation objects that you already have implemented in your daily practice.

Preperation

The best place to first learn this practice is often in a calm place where you can relax easily, such as your bedroom. Any form of preparation that will aid in relaxation is good. For example, a soft light and light music may be beneficial. This is up to your discretion. In my experience each chakra should be meditated on for at least 2-3 minutes before moving onto the next. Lie on your back and close your eyes during this meditation.
A diagram of the location of each chakra if required can be obtained here.

Meditating on the Chakras

Place your right hand over your heart. Take your left hand and place it below your tailbone.
Imagine a bright red light emanating as roots from the ground into the region within the area of the first primary chakra.
Reflect on your ability to feel connected to the universe and your ability to stay grounded in the world around you. Consider how comfortable you are in manifesting your ideas and concepts into solid reality. If you are practicing this meditation in the evening, recollect each pertaining event of your day and apply them to your reflection.

Keep your right hand on your heart and move your left hand to your lower abdomen.
Picture an amber circle of fluid flowing freely in a clockwise direction within and around the second primary chakra.
Retrospect the events of your day. Recognize how easy it was for your emotions and feelings to flow today and how clearly you can express your feelings in everyday life. As you retrospect each event picture the fluid becoming more clear and purified.

Bring your left hand to the location just below your rib cage. Perceive a large yellow flame burning and twirling in a clockwise direction within your solar plexus.
One by one, reproduce the events of your day in your minds eye. Consider how strong your will is. With each situation you reflect upon estimate your level of assertiveness and confidence.
During each breath you inhale perceive the fire expanding and growing stronger.

Now bring your left hand to your heart area and place it under your right hand over your heart. Envision a large green ball glowing and expanding within your chest.
Evaluate situations where you have not been compassionate in the past and meditate on how you could be more empathetic and understanding towards people.
As you meditate on this feel your heart area become warm with love.

Allow your left hand to rest over your heart and move your right hand below your throat area, in between your collar bones. Imagine a small blue sphere resonating throughout the area.
Investigate into how creative you are in your daily tasks. Allow yourself to explore whether you are good at listening and communicating, and whether you can balance both well.

Place your right hand over your forehead. Visualize either a bright white light or an indigo flame as a stream of radiance around your third eye.
Bring your concentration to how well you use your imagination. Consider how often you act on your intuition and how often you ignore it. Question yourself if it is a habit for you to live in a fantasy world and reflect on how you can reduce your self illusions.

Finally, place your right hand above your head. Imagine a fountain of white light pouring down over your head covering and energizing your body. Sit in a silent meditation and allow yourself to assimilate your introspection from each of the chakra practices.

From this stage you can go on to do whatever you like, whether it be to astral project, further meditation or sleep. All of these become much more natural after balancing your chakras using the method above.

No worries. I hope that anyone who has read it has found it useful.

Great Alex, thank you for taking time to copy others sites pages and pasting them here!

Huh? Are you being sarcastic? If you don't like it don't read it. I don't "copy and paste" stuff without referencing. I combined much different information about chakras into a simple meditation that was effective for me and I just wanted to share it.

Hi!
It's nice work, but visualisation techniques are not very effective. I am now testing voice based chakra meditation(based on runes) and it's extremely powerful, third eye can be totally opened with it in 4 days(about 16 minutes of work, I've tried it and it works). I'll post a link when I'll test it. You could add these rune sounds to your meditation making it even more effective. Also you could add some elements of Tactile Imagination as in NEW by Robert Bruce.

Sounds interesting, make sure you don't forget to link us!

The meditation is pretty flexible in terms of the setting so any background sounds could be added. Some people have a problem with visualization. I have found that it is still very effective if you just place your hands in the positions and meditate in your own way.

I'm also interested in the technique you mentioned CaCoDeMoN, although I think I know what you are talking about. I've found that overstimulating the third eye can make you feel like your head is going to explode for a long time after. Please share your experience after you test it.

Thanks

Alex

I was not being sarcastic at all.I am just saying that your technique is known by everyone already and that vizualisation doesnt work with chakras. At least if you don't trust yourself...

I've decided to post it now, but please use it only at your own risk:

My experiences with meditation:

Third eye meditation:
http://www.666blacksun.com/Opening_the_ThirdEye.html
For me after 2 days of meditating(10 min. per day) my third eye opened, I've started seeing many random pictures and colors when in trance, and seeing very detailed Negs in dark rooms in normal state of consciousness. It was extreme fun. Also it became possible to see astral RTZ directly from the physical world.
Other meditations were not as effective, because I didn't wait 7 days after using this one, although my solar plexus chakra was extremely stimulated too.

I don't get the "Th" sound. I can see making a vibration occur with "Om" or something like that. I tried it momentarily and can't seem to get my 3rd eye to "vibrate"

Are you sure you don't get the headache from holding your breath? How long do you hold your breath? It says what feels comfortable. Well, I can hold my breath for 2 minutes? I'm assuming that is too much and would cause a headache.

Visualization works with everything if done correctly. Perhaps you should have read the guide fully before prematurely criticizing it.

I realize that the techniques are not useful for everyone but curious beginners come here all the time asking how to work with chakras. Not to be smug, but if there was a guide similar to this on the forums when I first learnt about chakras I would highly appreciate it.

Btw this thread has deviated completely off-topic. CaCoDeMoN's thread (to do with chakra activation) differs from this guide (more to do with chakra balancing).

Thanks

Visualization or tactil imaging are required..? At third eye meditation a MBA (T.I.) is required instead of to roll up eyes..?
