the energy centre that is sub naval
is the male energy storage centre called the male girdle
there is an orange chakra at the naval and below it is the red chakra

the heart centre is seen as an emerald green chakra in its basic state  
but below the heart is the solar plexus which is yellow and a huge storage centre of the union of male and female energy

I was not referring to the NEW method
It was not implicit that the questioner was asking about the NEW method either .

There are three main storage centres known as
1.the female caput which is sub brow
2.the male girdle which is sub navel
3.the centre which is sub heart

BUT
on page 139 of Astral Dynamics in the NEW section
Robert Bruce describes these centres .

I am enamoured with Robert's work but this answer was reflecting an ancient truth as espoused in Yoga .In this drawing the female caput is the triangular region pointing upwards the male girdle is pointing downwards and the two are joined making a star in the solar plexus .
