If you dont resist the evil, it will become weak. If you fear it, it gets stronger and scares you more.

Yes I did stop resisting and I let go. It worked and I use my faith to help me.
How do you know it's trying to help me do OBE? It took my physical body not my spirit. Plus it was a demon! I can't except help from the side of evil. I can't. The spirit went inside of my chest (it was trying to take control of my body)
I do not understand where you got the idea of "helper" please explain.
Some people have said helpers pulled them out including Robert Monroe. What else could it be doing if it lifted you? Its hard to tell the difference between physical lifting and OBE. Once I thought "oh crap I'm going to jail for running on the streets naked. I better make sure I'm still in an OBE and not on a real road."
I also used to have nightmares. Sometimes I used to wake up breathing heavily. But once in a nightmare I was about to be killed when I suddenly realised that I was in a dream and I woke up. Then in many other normal dreams I realised that I was in a dream and was able to wake up whenever I wanted but I always let the dream go by itself and never Lucid Dreamed.
So I suggest that all over the day you keep telling your mind that if you have a nightmare you are dreaming and then you might realise it in your nightmare dream.
The paralyse thing might be due to intense fear.
Is the spirit going into your chest feeling after the dream or in the dream?
This might even be a neg. But I am doubtful.
The praying of souls of purgatory might be the reason. By chance an evil soul might have come to you and now is refusing to go. I might be that that it wants to enter your body.Keep good faith in god and this will not happen.
I don't want to scare you but if a spirit enters your body then it is difficult to remove it. Such a thing has happened with my Father's brother. Anytime in the day used to start rolling his in a shaky way and used to continue it till more than an hour. It was removed in about a month.

The spirit went into my chest in my dream, it did however NOT occur while I woke up.

Well I think it let go because my nightmares almost entirely stopped.
I do not understand why it came to ME. I was praying for it so why does want to do me harm? How can I prevent this from ever happening to me again?

I do not understand what your saying please be specific.
My question is why did I have this feeling of EVIL in my chest? I know for a fact that this feeling was supernatural. It really makes me wonder because Iam not an evil person, my love for God is to great.
And don't worry if your comments might sound harsh, I understand and Iam willing and ready to take any critizcism.
Ic, well at least ur not alone...i have gone throught something like that myself. A couple of times after a nightmare I would wake up and couldn't move like something was pinning me down, and still up to this day i get "vivid-evil" nightmare. On a personal not, my family tends to have this kind of uhm...encounters and to be honest it scares the living...uh well u get the point. Anyways, to answer ur questions, someone once told me that those that believe are usually victims of those that don't want you to reach a certain something(wether it be spitual enlightment,etc.) As for that thing in your chest that could symbolize something trying to get at your heart. To be honest, I don't really believe this I'm just repeating what others have told me, if it helps in any way the I'm glad it helped...
A neg is an astral entity. It can be considered as somewhat a spirit.
If a spirit want's to enter your body, it doesn't mean it's evil. The spirit of a good sadhu, whom my uncle knew, entered his body after the sadhu died.
No one answered my orinally question. What was this evil energy I felt, and why did I feel it? Is this what they call having an empathic dream? (spelling?)
Hi Vanessa. I am new to this forum. Maybe I can help you. I believe what you felt in your heart was the negative vibrations of another being. Somehow this being psychically connected to you and forced its energy upon you. From what you were telling me it was most likely a spiritual being, not a person on this earth. And the reason you felt it at night while you were sleeping was because when you sleep your psychic perception broadens and it becomes easier to recieve the signals of other beings. So I have a question for you. When you felt this evil, did it make you heart beat abnormally fast?? Were you very afraid? I do not know why this being attacked you, but there are ways you can stop it from happening. The best way I personally know is to psychically attack the being, although you may not be able to do this. It requires a bit of psychic awareness. But it never hurts to try. How long ago were you threatened by this force? Was it recently, and does it happen a lot?? Okay long ago, when I was like 13 1/2 I have this nightmare. Many others but Iam naming this specific. (Iam 14 now)
This dream was the most scariest of all and it is the most different as well. I felt evil pouring in my chest (I was paralyzed) and it was the scariest thing I ever experienced. Of course my love of God would not accept this evil energy so I fought against it. It felt good, and it was dimensional. This energy was pure evil, I cannot explain how it feels in words.
Okay here is some personal facts: I been having nightmares maybe 5 times a night for a year. Once in a while still get them but they almost stopped entirely. My dreams were basically the same. Iam paralyzed in my bed and Iam being lift up by a spirit and being thrown in the air. I had also in the beginning have dreams that Iam paralyzed and the spirit (like a great wind) being sucked into my chest.
I managed to stop the dreaming one night when I conquered my fear. My love of God wouldn't let me give into these evil entities. The dream as follows goes: I wake up in my bed, once again paralyzed. This time only when I realized that I was dreaming did the spirit paralyzed me and lifted me in the air. (Note: I only saw the demon one dream long time ago, sometimes I can see or feel his/her hands on my ankles) But I was not afraid this time. I had faith in God and I started praying the Our Father. I keep waking up and being paralyzed over and over again but I did not give in and I kept praying.
When did it started? One night I was praying for the souls of purgatory when I felt a presence. It brought me shivers and my hairs was sticking up.
I don't think there is any evil spirits in my house anymore, I could only sense good ones now thank God.
My question is, what was this evil I felt? Why did I feel it? I know that everyone has both negative and positive energies but Iam not evil. I try my best to be good, and help others. I just don't understand. Please explain.
