How many sweeps to each primary?

One reason I'm concerned about this is because on the guide online Bruce says not to fill the sub-heart or sub-brow storage center and I'm hoping that 5-10 sweeps will not start to do that.  I'd like to continue with 5-10 sweeps if it's ok though because I get a good reaction with it.

Um. It doesn't specify a certain number of sweeps for two very good reasons:

1) like every other NEW technique, the effect on people varies from person to person

2) The more stimulation usually means the better, unless, in the primary chakras' case, you MUST develop them moderately equally. If you do it too unequally, emotional, mental, psychic, or all three will go out of balance, resulting in some pretty hectic mood swings, headaches, and craziness.

So yeah, have fun with it. Glad NEW's working for you ^___^

No amount of rigorous training, sitting and doing nothing, and clearing one's mind can help a man who hasn't overcome his doubts.

the problem with sweeping too much, is that you'll get bored and your thoughts might wander,

and then you fall asleep

well thats my problem anyway, but I usually have a great nap/sleep
opinions are like kittens, just give 'em away

In his "Treatise to OBE" which is available for download somewhere on this site (and which is still a great read even if you've read Astral Dynamics) Bruce recommends 7 sweeps to the base center and 3 to all other centers, that is, however, if you're in the trance state (which makes working on the primary centers much more effective).

That's right, if you start directly on your primaries, it'll take much more time to stimulate them enough. So before doing the primary centers, always do at least 10-15 minutes of secondary circuit and energy raising to "put the engine on" :)

Thanks for the replies.  I've been doing like, 5 minutes of the full body circuit and then doing the primarys, but I guess I might as well do 10-15.  My solar-plexus is interesting because it seems to be off center slightly.  My brow is interesting as well... it and my heart are very sensitive to an energy sweep or two now.  I'm kinda excited 'cause of them, all are fun to stimulate though.

I just started with my primary chakras 3 days ago... boy NEW works great!  I'm a little confused about something though.  With the base chakra (the first to be stimulated) Bruce says to sweep/sponge energy to it repeatedly, but with all the higher chakras he just says to sweep it there and doesn't specificy how many times.  Am I just supposed to sweep it once then move on to the brushing, stirring and tearing?  Or can I sweep to them a few times?  What I've been doing is sweeping energy to each of them 5-10 times and then moving on to the stirring etc (if needed).  One reason I'm wondering if I might not be doing it completely right is because after I've swept 5-10 times to crown, brow, or heart I don't need to move on to the sirring or any other action because the sweeping alone gets a sufficient reaction.  Please let me know what number of sweeps is most appropriate.  Thanks
