maybe thought process during those activities is stimulating it. Chakras get stimulated from all sorts of activities besides direct manipulation.
If you will it it is no dream.

Hi Mactombs,

Just take it as part of your development. Although I would also go along with Michael_E's answer.

I used to find it quote bothersome several years ago, but found it subsided over time. However when practicing energy work it does come back... so I usually back off until I feel more settled! As per your example I have also noticed it sometimes occurs when concentrating on things like reading as well or other high focused mental and emotional effort! On the other hand it may indicate spirit presence (as a facet of growing clairsentient awareness), however that would be accompanied by other perceptions as well, and as you may already be aware it takes time to be discriminating between ones own energy and becoming aware of the presence of entities etc.

Hope this helps,

Stephen

How exactly does it feel?

I am asking because my crown chakra is strong and has always been my strongest chakra. I might not notice things that happen to it because I'm so much used to it. So I'd like to know how I can tell?

This is very useful for me. I've been thinking about this for a very long time, but it's never been worded this clearly before. I guess this is just a learning process that takes time?

I'll be sure to notice when I feel it what might be going on around me, etc. Thanks, Stephen and Michael.

It feels like an electric tickle at the very top of my head, and usually lasts 30 seconds to a minute.

The tingling of your crown could be caused because you resonate with something/information.

Just a question, can you generate tingling at your crown by will, or does it only happen occasionally as you described?

Mactombs, I get tingling sensations all the time.  I did some research and discovered that it's a general sign of spiritual and psychic development.  One book said it was a sign of kundalini energy awaking slowly (healthily), and not to worry about it because it is normal.  Often it seems to tingle when there's something in my mind that unconsciously resonates with me, like what I'm reading, listening to, or thinking.  I always stop to think about what's on my mind, and how it might help me spiritually.

Reality, what would it mean if you could make it tingle at will?  I can make it tingle, and sometimes it just happens.

I'm the same way...

Whenever I am reading something that I resonate with or if I'm extremely focused I will get much third eye / crown activity.  i've always taken it as a normal thing.

<- Experiences tinglings too!

The frontal lobes, third eye, various parts of the body due to N.E.W.

Interesting that you say that the "kundalini" energies are awakening, etc. I live for the tinglings and I'll keep going steady with my efforts to amplify them. I'm pretty sure that N.E.W. applied to the areas on your head encourage, if not directly increase intelligence.

When I raise my energies to a high-enough level, I'm going to create massive psionic balls and shoot them at all of you. Watch out! [}:)]

Neat! Thanks for the replies.

I've been practicing NEW for several months now (not very hard-core, but fairly consistent), and I started noticing after I started practicing NEW.

It's definitely a pleasant sensation. It might have something to do with resonating with ideas, etc. I'm still taking note of when I feel it.

I'm wondering if anyone might have a clue to why I have some crown chakra tingles during the day when I'm reading something, or thinking about something, or watching something.

Thanks.
