Am I Doing NEW Correctly?

Hiya. I've been doing NEW for about 4 weeks, and I'm not exactly sure if the sensations I'm feeling from doing NEW is proof that I'm doing it right. The sensations I feel are: a pain, (most of the times it's like an ache), heat, and pressure. I just want some of your comments and opinions. Thanks!

Huh, that dosen't sound comfortable. When I do NEW for 15-20 minutes it's mostly soothing and relaxing, similar to the sensations after a full-body massage. The sensations during the exercises vary from a warm tingling to full-blown surges/waves. In the mornings it's very invigorating.

Do you spend much time on the bottoms of your feet, toes, palms, & fingers? Those are essential for NEW.

Thanks for the comment, Stookie. You're a really great person. I have to admit, I haven't been working too much on my hands and feet. By the way, what sensations did you feel when you first started using NEW?

I did previous energy work before doing NEW, so my story is a little different. I was already familiar with energy-related sensations. NEW was definitely a better way to do it, though. The first time I did NEW and started working on the soles of my feet I felt a tingling. Work specifically on the soles & toes for at least 5 minutes (or longer) or until your feel tingling or other sensations. Then work on "sponging" that sensation upwards into your ankles and legs. Don't move on until you feel it. Ex.- if you don't feel it throughout your knee, don't move on to your thigh. "Brush" all the surface skin, muscles, tendons, tissue, and into the bones. Remember that it's more about moving awareness through these parts than "moving energy".

I'm pretty much repeating Robert Bruce's instructions. If all else fails, go to his site and print them out.

Hiya again. Thanks for the comments. I have experimented yesterday, while falling alseep, this is where I usually get the strongest sensations. As I tried to move my awareness through my arms, the ache came, but when I constantly said "relax" in my mind, the pain lessened and disappeared for all I could tell. I'm going to experiment again tonight, and see what happens if I keep saying "relax" for a while.

This will not exactly follow the topic. I have the tinnitus problem, and sometimes i get spikes of higher tones in my ears, then i just think the word "down" and ground myself, while feeling all the excess energy flowing into the ground, and in about half a minute the sound spikes receed.
A small fact: The more you learn, the more certain you become that you actually know next to nothing.

Sowwie for the very, very late post. While saying "relax" while doing NEW while falling asleep for awhile, I started to not feel any sensations like usual when I'm saying "relax". But after a few minutes, I felt a swishing movement in my right leg. I couldn't hear it, just feel it. It's hard to explain  :confused:  Anyways, thanks to you guys who kept me sane  :grin: I'll try it again and see if I feel any of the sensations described by Robert Bruce.
