Hello I was just wondering I was meditating last night. About a minute into it I got pressure on the top of my head felt like a truck was on the top of my head my question is why does this happen so soon and what does it mean. Thank you
Was this the first time you meditated? If not, was this the first time you experienced this extreme pressure? Did the pressure stop when you stopped meditating?
I have never experienced any sort of pressure in my head while meditating. Nothing that I would compare to a truck sitting on top of my head anyway.
Maybe you should try meditating in a different position and see if that helps.
Me too! I've never figured out what it is, though. I get it sometimes if I pray/meditate/self reflect. It used to really scare me. Thought I had a brain tumor or something. For me, it doesn't hurt --it's just pressure. Can be very intense though. I've come to believe it is a good thing or has the potential to lead to a good thing. For instance, once I had a terrible migraine. I prayed and then the pressure came into my head. It was very intense, then turned blissful, and the migraine was miraculously healed. This happened about 12 times where I would get a migraine, and the pressure would come and heal it. Also, I feel when I feel this pressure often, I seem to be in the mode to have more OOBEs. --or at least have them more spontaneously (I don't have to try). So I guess my opinion about the pressure right now is that it is a gift or maybe it means that there is a conduit open to receive spiritual gifts. I've never been into or even understood the whole chakra thing but maybe it has something to do with that?

It's highly likely. I've had the 'crown' chakra warming up during a trance / vibrational / sleep paralysis state. It was when I also visualised the chakras and especially what I believe to have been the star chakra.
I have gotten bad headaches and eye aches from focusing intently on my 3rd eye in the past. This taught me to focus passively instead!
When I first started this practice, I did everything I had read. Frank's technique of turning his eyes upwards while he Phased into his different Focus levels was the first thing I concentrated on doing daily. This led to many eye spasms and cramps. So, instead of turning my eyes upwards, I just focused on my 3rd eye. Sometimes I could feel it pounding, but thought this was just a "signpost", until I finally opened my eyes and saw that I was left with a headache, doh!
This in turn taught me the importance of "passive focus and observation" and since I changed to that, I have never had the problem again.
Just remember, this entire practice has a "learning curve". You will find soon what works and doesn't work for you.
When I go back into my Journals and I come across this experience in the past, I see the words in huge writing, in my area for results and comments on the session, "LEARN HOW TO PASSIVELY FOCUS.
I have also been seeing a little circle right infront of my forehead about a inch away its sparkley with white and black and shinny gray pieces?
