if  you want  some practical tecniques  for stimulating  the kundalini try the following...

firstly start masturbating to get yourself sexually aroused,   when your penis is up, start to clench  the  muscles in and around the anus- this channels the semen  up the spine rather than expelling it in an orgasm.

Its quite hard work to  shift focus away from your penis when your ready to  "fire",   but ive tried this a few times and felt a rush  of  cold  wind shoot up my body when ive succesfully held my focus  near the coxys (sp?) area as semen is released from the testicles.

I would invite your attention to Astral Dynamics by Robert Bruce. If you don't have the book then take a look at his website at http://www.astralpulse.com for some information along these lines.

In his book he talks about kundalini on a number of pages. One paragraph reads:"If primary-center development work is undertaken with care, respect, and intelligence, there is very little to worry about. Triggering a full raising of the kundalini takes enormous preparation, effort, and self-discipline over an extended period of time."

Also, take a look at Robert's kundalini discussion on pages 192-193 of his book. It contains some good advice on energy raising issues. He also references (on page 169) another book. That book has to do with "the more esoteric intricacies of chakras, according to Hindu Tantra. That book is by Harish Johari, and is entitled Chakras - Energy Centers of Transformation.

Very best,

hmm, kudalini=ki=chi=qi=life force

so really it all comes down to what "tradition" you wish to focus on

lately the "yogic" indian traditions have gained much popularity,
"buddhist" traditions will help you focus your life-force through regiment and lots of prayer and dedication

similiarly some martial arts schools will still teach ki-techniques, and will help focus on the "physical" or "practical" effects of kudalini

qi-gong masters are able to "feel" ki and also have abilities to project it upon others, from great distances

Divine madness can be accompianied by such energy raising but that is if you dive in head first and do not have the "philosophical" background to support such things

anyhow, Im sure whatever tradition you seek they will all lead you in a positive path

actually, kundalini is different from chi. if you go back to the originating culture of each, and learn about them you will see that they are vastly different only somewhat similar. in the indian (from india) traditions, prana is the "energy" that is closest described to chi (that i know of anyway ^_^ ).

and rodentmouse: (i don't know if tantra yoga is different from just tantra, but i'll assume for the moment they are not) from what i understand of tantra, it is supposed to be a system of methods using sexual energy (either alone or not) to reach a higher level of understanding and connection to the universe. kind of like how alchemists (not all, but some at least) used alchemy to try and reach a higher level of understanding of reality, and as some magicians use their workings of magic to try and understand the greater reality, and as some scientists use science to try and gain more understanding of our existance, and ... well, i guess that's enough ^_^ .

i could be wrong of course ^_^ since i haven't really done any indepth study of it, but most of the sources of tantra material that i've glanced over mentioned that it was about more than just sexual stimulus.

to all people how replyed this post :

actually i have some doubts about kundalini and psychic abilities, specially these, please who know the answer tell me:

1. When trying to open a chakra, much like it's explained in the Teatrise e-book by robert bruce (i can't buy Astral Dynamics) to a chakra open would that trigger a kundalini arousal ? Or it's possible to open them without that happening ?
2. It is absolutly necessary a kundalini arousal/raising to have siddhis (psychic abilities) such as clairvoyance or psychokinesis ? Anyone here got that abilities without manually trying to raise kundalini or without consciouly opening the chakras ?
3. Is it true that to the third eye chakra opening there is problems related to Karma ? For example, anyone here with psychic abilityes as ever used them with a selfish porpose ? If yes what happened ? They did lose their abilities (example, a energy blockage occur because of that)? Please to this last question please only persons who really tryed that, answer this, because in theory everyone has a different version.

I hope to get some help.

1) it is possible to open them without kundalini.

2) you don't need kundalini for psychic abilities.

3) there's a lot of misinformation out there regarding the third eye, and much regarding karma. and yes, you can use psychic abilities for selfish purposes (though, as you become more and more spiritually aware, you naturally become less focused on just yourself and begin to understand how all things connect and work with each other. though, that doesn't mean that you neccessarily become selfless).

some people may develop blockages due to strongly believing that their abilities must be used selflessly, and so it would be their own subconscious which creates the blockage when they feel guilty about doing selfish things with their abilities.

hmmm karma and third eye,  I suppose using your third eye greedily and for selfish purposes will cause you to get bad karma
but being greddy and selfish in any respect will give you bad karma

Im not sure what selfish is tho, its hard to describe the fine line

say you use your third eye to see someones aura, in a sense your being selfish trying to understand their aura, its  a real semantics debate and circle argument,

I know karma is real, but there are ways of protecting yourself against such powers, and ways of increasing your good karma, (just be nice and respectfull!)

great definition for 'karma'

Karma is a lower frequency occurance, and like most everything else, it is something you do to yourself.

If I torture 10 people to death, and I am a masochist who strongle believes in 'saving people' by killing them, chances are there isnt going to be a 'force' that will even things out and hurt me back.

Karma is what YOU believe. Because...whos to say whats 'good' and whats 'bad' or whats 'right' or 'wrong'?

Believe nothing, embrace everything.
