As I sit here now, I've just drank a pint of water. I need another. I've had some fruit mixed with some amino acid and multivits along with mixed cereal and a small cup of tea for breakfast. Also some probiotic drink I use. Nothing different actually, I used this for weeks and months. So salt isn't an issue here etc.
Yet last week I started a kundalini yoga class. Next day had incredible need of water. This week I did a second class and again a large need for water. 6 pints yesterday at least. I'm not retaining it unduly though.
I am used to doing 2hrs of energy training a day btw and have done energy training of one kind or other since I was about 10 or so, even though in the beginning i was a kid playing with a new toy-tingle rushes :-).
I have little difficulty getting a crown chakra strobe now (no visuals, plenty of emotional/tactiles though) and can get a strong spine sensation-heat, squirming tingling rush spike sensation-pleasent but powerful.
Anyway given that-anyone any clue what the water thing is about. Before this I'd drink mainly water and some tea occasionally. 2 pints a day generally.
When you exercise you need more water because you spend it through sweating, were you exercising as much as you are now before you began?
The many breathing exercises (including flexing of the abdominal muscles) make you more aware of the contents of your stomach and might dry out your throat, making you want to quench your thirst.
Kundalini Yogis are also very adamant about making people drink lots of water. They say 16 glasses, not 8. Perhaps you're picking up on that vibe.
I drink 2 1.5L bottles of water a day, sometimes more.

My normal exercise routine hasn't changed. This actual class doesn't make me perspire loads compared to the same time spend on my physical standard training. I can't explain it by extra perspiration. For sure, i do know the extra water intake is virtually excessive. I also found spending up to half an hour storing energy in the tan tien/naval centre gives me the "runs" for some reason-this is seperate from the water issue as that occurred before my kundalini class and I hadn't got the thirst at that point :-). Maybe this time with all this extra energy training is just a clearing out time perhaps.
It's too solid to be simply picking up on a vibe.

If a hot and cold channel are meant to unite in the middle channel, it may be that you have only activated the hot one.
