If you are just beginning and doing all the starting steps then it will take you awhile. After you have developed your energy body a bit and able to be aware of entire sections then you do not need to work on each little part. If you can just think about your hands and feet and feel energy in all of them then you no longer need to work each part (stimulate the joints, sides etc) but work with them as a whole. Like fredhedd said, it gets easier and can be done in just a few seconds.
Alice had got so much into the way of expecting nothing but out-of-the-way things to happen, that it seemed quite dull and stupid for life to go on in the common way.

I've been dedicated to NEW for a while now and previously I was doing standing qigong meditations for energy. I like NEW because it gives you a lot of control over your energy flow and it's great for clearing blocks in your system. It takes me like 1-2 hours to get my legs arms and spine tingly and flowing pretty nicely. I use the bounce technique once I've stimulated all the areas, first the legs, then arms, then spine ,tehn whole body.

I'm wondering if it's normal for my body to take sooooo long just to feel anything? I hope the time decreases, I can't spend 2 hours every night much longer, summer vacation will end in a month!
