hiya

I read  MBA chapter yesterday  but there are few things I would like to ask.

When I try to concentrate on certain point on my body, like on my leg or arm or where-ever , I am only able to feel around that area circa 1 square cm , meaning I get the general location right , but nothing more precise
Related to the first question - I'm also having trouble focusing on a point , since when focusing it's more of a blurry feeling , meaning I can't exactly focus on a single point , but more on that area ( 1 square cm or inch )

Is that how it should be or must I be able to focus on AND feel specific small points ( that can be the size of a sharp end of the needle ) ?
Is this enough for me to go and read and practice more advanced chapters and if not when then?

Also, the sensation I feel are very very light almost up to the point of not knowing if I actually am feeling anything. How and when will that change?

thank you

Bonden

I've been doing NEW for about 3-4 days. At first it was pretty hard to focus on a point and I didn't really feel very much, but while watching tv, reading and etc., I stimulated diffrent parts of my body and it got easier and faster to stimulate points and bigger areas. So im sure you will find it easier and feel more the more you do it.

About moving on to more advance exercises, I really don't know since I havn't been using NEW for a long time.
Good luck!

The general location to 1cm is sufficient for sure.
You don't need to go more precise than that. Most stirring and brushing actions are greater than 1cm in area generally anyway plus you can overlap you motion to make sure every part is covered in a given area.
Some places may not get much sensation specifically, especially areas not rich in nerve endings. Also insensitive places can be blocked somewhat etc, this will change over time if it's an area that should be sensitive. Very strong sensations including pain etc are also associated with blockages or very narrow energy paths being opened up.
Once you get into it for a few months up to a year you'll find the sensations even out to a light tingling and heat, that's fairly consistent all over.

So when can I move from MBA to TI?
You're implying that I should practice MBA and TI even after I get the hang of it and finish NEW?
How much time a day should I spend doing MBA and then TI now, when I'm not yet good at it?

sorry for so many questions

thank you and cheers

Bonden

I actually found it easier to do TI than MBA, but maybe thats just me?
I suggest you give it a try, don't think it can hurt you. For me MBA exercises got easier when traing with TI. If you have hard time with the exercises go back to MBA and work on them, if not, keep training.
But I havn't got longer than TI so I don't know if it matters that you move from MBA to TI that fast later on?

oh I made an assumption :-). Tactile imaging is the next stage of mba, most people i've taught spend 5-35 mins figuring MBA out though really I've just gone straight into tactile imaging as the practice is it's own best explanation for many.
If you're spending hours on mba then I suggest you move straight on to stirring on the small joints in your hands and feet and get into the basics of tactile imaging.
It's only primary centre work in NEW that requires you build up to it. The foundation work will build fairly naturally once you get started, just don't start primary centre work until you've gotten fairly fluent with secondary stuff and the sensations become very familiar.
Also I would practice several times a day, ten mins at a time to start with to add up to about half an hour initially. Also very small sessions whilst waiting in queues etc are good too.
