Title: Meditation, Chakras and whatnot
Post by: knucklebrain1970 on February 10, 2005, 10:05:40
Hi folks, I've been working with some meditation tapes (Higher Balance) and there's a lot of chakra touching and energy consumption I guess you would call it for lack of better words. What I'm wondering is how long it takes before you actually feel anything. I've also been trying the NEW (New Energy Ways) by Robert Bruce. Same thing, I feel nothing. Now when I do my own healing method, which consists of drawing energy up from my feet to my hands, my hands start to tingle and pulsate and that's how I get that to work, but as far as chakra work, I feel nothing, absolutely nothing. Any tips/pointers are appreciated. Keep in mind, I realize this is not an overnight process and I've only been meditating and doing chakra work for a month and realize as well that in New England - Massachusetts (The Dark Cloud State Where the Sun Don't Shine) during these Winter months, energy levels are at an all time low.

I wouldn't recommend you try to stimulate your primary chacra's too soon, instead work on your secondary for a while.

When I started doing energy work I just focused on my feet. First I focused on my left big toe until I felt something, then my right, then some other part of the foot and so on. Later I did my whole legs and arms.  Not many days later I could raise energy without much concentration. For me it also got easier when laying in my bed and first doing some relaxation. But not to much, I don't want to fall asleep:).

To sum it up, start with your feet's and hands, then with the whole legs and arms.

for me i found that i was trying so hard i couldnt feel anything, for a long time it was like that. I finally took a week off, and every once in a while throughout my day, I would just see if I could create warmth in my hands, I could, so I started little and just built it up from there.

For me it about a year of daily meditation before I started to feel my chakras. And it was during a kundalini awakening.
