It would be cruel to prevent people from learning to speak. It would actually cause parts of the brain to fail to develop. These parts of the brain are the same ones that are used in thinking and organizing concepts even when those concepts are not spoken. Our brains are designed to pick up language skills even with minimal exposure to spoken words. Breaking a tool does not make it function better.
ah, but you forget da_0ne, that animals do speak to each other; just in a different language than we know. [:)]
growls and barks, hisses and yowls, are all "words" spoken between animals. what is also important to animals is 'body language', which humans also exhibit (but are usually less aware of).
i think meditation is basically a method that has been developed to help people learn how to tune out their physical body so they can tap into their "inner self". not everyone needs meditation, but it certainly is helpful [|)].

ah yes you are right I just found out from my father that back before civilization somewhere in egypt different lanuages where scattered around the world each language was for different types of people.
i was meditating today and a thought crossed my mind while i was clearing my mind. Meditation would be much easier if we did not learn how to speak. Like an animal based on gut instinct no words would cross the mind if we could not speak or inconcious would have nothing to say. We would be totally based on image or instinctive thoughts. Maybe if I tried thinking instictivly it would help clear the mind.
Without words we are not much different from many other animals in this world. We once were based on instict as well!!!!!!!!!
